Ungstrup (11137), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 31, 2007 NisseBryg no. 2. Bryg no. 4. Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a fast disappearing orange head, ending just like a rim in the glass. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of oranges and anise. The flavor is sweet and very spicy especially from anise - almost cloying, but also with notes of malt and oranges, leading to a slightly bitter and still spicy end. A bit medicinal. Thanks to Papsoe for this. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 23, 2007 (Bottle 70 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a yellowish head. Very fresh and fruity aroma with distinct accents of aniseed. Medium-bodied, sweetish roasted malt with notes of yeast and fruit. Rather subdued bitterness. Quite a decent Christmas beer. 160207 yespr (6359), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 12, 2008 75 cL bottle.
