Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Pale bronze, gentle white cover. Mellow almost smoky nose, burnt malts appear cookieish and with an almost spicy bite. Mellow taste, floral and earthier than most. Toasted malts are balanced very well with the soft comfortable hop undertones. Firm medium body, very smooth soft carbonation. CapFlu (3247), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jul 22, 2005 (Draught) Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a thin, yellowish, foamy head with a deep copper body. Nose is very roasted along with the flavour. This is easily their best beer - it has much complexity and flavour. Very good! Lubiere (3146), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2005 Reddish amber ale with thin off-white head. Pleasant aroma of malt and butterscotch and vanilla. But in mouth, light bodied ale with little malt and too much diacetyl. unbalanced. Tap at brewpub. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA Jun 18, 2001 Nice brew. Excellent color and appearance on tap. Nice mellow burnt cocoa flavor with a perfect subtle hop balance. A tasty offering.
