Lubiere (3153), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 4, 2006 On tap, July 17, 2005. Deep dark stout, brownish hues, thin moka head. Faint chocolate aroma, with light caramel. Roasted coffee taste with faint chocolate. Very thin and boring. Rastacouere (5226), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Almost black pour, gentle light brown ring. Oaty nose, quite fruity with its dates and figs nuances to complement the more obvious chocolate and sweetish roasted malts. Okay balance for a sweet stout, oaty, torrefied and just lightly acid. Light bodied, soft carbonation. CapFlu (3249), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jul 22, 2005 (Draught) Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a thin, dissipated, beige head with an opaque body. Nose is a pleasant smokey and cocoa aroma thought the flavour by comparison is too thin and lacking ABV. Needs to be kicked-up a notch!
