3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle purchased while travelling through New York. Pretty middle of the road pale ale. Pours a pale amber with an overly large head that quickly dissipates.

12 ounce bottle from Bessetteís, Canton, NY, 4/15/15. Clear amber, thin tan head, fair retention. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops and a bit of toastiness. The taste is citrus hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied moderate lingering bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sackets Harbor Thousand Islands Pale Ale is a cloudy amber ale with lots of small particles in it. The thin, blotchy white head leaves nice lacing. It has a sweet caramel aroma with a note of wooden hops. Itís pretty light bodied and very lively. It leaves the mouth gritty and numb. Itís a bit sweet like caramel. It has a light to moderate bitterness thatís resiny and wooden. Thereís nothing wrong with this. Itís not very refreshing for a pale ale. It would be interesting to see what this beer would be like if all the ingredients were doubled.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light copper and cloudy with some white head. Light hoppy aroma, a little bit of carame malts, and a citrusy fruit component. Somewhat bitter with a hint of sweetness. Medium bodied. Surprisingly good, would definitely have again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A: snifter. pours a good light copper color with a nice white head on top. moderate retention rate. very faint lacing.
S: very light aroma. some grassy tones along with a hint of metal. not much of a hop aroma, but it is there way in the back of the nose.
T: nice, surprisingly rich flavor compared to the aroma. good malt backdrop, some caramel in there as well. nice bittering hops, but I get some metallic flavors as well.
M: medium body. mild carbonation. rather clean and crisp.
D: A good APA, just some off flavors to me, but it could be the version of hops. Good session beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governorís Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: The aroma is pretty hoppy, with some caramel, grass, and citrus
Appearance: Hazy amber colored beer with a pretty good sized head
Flavor: The taste is mildly sweet, but the flavor is mostly bitter
Palate: A nice dry mouthfeel, clean, easy drinking, and with relatively lively carbonation
This is actually a very solid American Pale Ale. I really enjoyed it quite a bit. This is from a relatively small brewery, but a fairly impressive beer none-the-less. Well-made. Iíd drink this one again.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy orange/bronze color. Has an interesting, though small dishsoap head. The head does not stick around on the sides, but does sit upon the top throughout.
The smell is a serious hop aroma. Much stronger hop small than most regular Pale Ales. The hops are sweet and floral. There is a hint of pine too, but definite flora.
The taste is a sweet and woodsy hops flavor with hit of end-bitterness. Slight malt, but hops rull the brew.
There is a thick and creamy feel. Gets a bit milky as it warms up. The carbonation dances on the tongue, sits there after the swallow. The hops are absolutely delicious, but not so bitter that I canít drink several of them.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Single finger thick initial head. Settles to a single layer of fine bubbles. Leaves a nice ring of lace. The color is bright copper and nearly clear.
Traditional malty pale ale aroma. Muted hop smell. Slightly metallic.
Far more pronounced hop bite to this beer, which is particularly strong on the swallow and aftertaste. The initial sip is smooth and filling--a rich liquid that is close to the consistency of milk. Relatively lighter carbonation. An easy-to-drink APA.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Copper coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Decent appearance - nothing impressive. Nice aroma of fresh hops with a bunch of caramel scents and a good potent maltiness as well. Medium-bodied; Sharp hops up front in the taste with a metallic twang, all with a good malt backbone. Aftertaste shows some fruit characterisitcs along with some malt and of course the hop bitterness. Overall, an alright apa, nothing remarkable and nothing worthy of a drain-pour. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Oliverís in Albany, New York on 05-November-2006.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is an orange with a large white head. Aroma is a nice mix of hops and citrus. Flavor is a little bit one sided and there is a decent hops but nothing to blanace it out. The malts are kinda on the low side and if your low on malts your going to have to hop the wazoo out of a beer. This is where this one falls short.
