RunDWP (180), San Jose, California, USA Jun 22, 2008 On tap at SBC Brew Pub. Slight piney aroma. Nice complex piney, hoppy taste with some grapefruit. Little biter kick at the end. Solid IPA.
doubleo (834), San Diego, California, USA Sep 11, 2008 On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours slight, hazy orange/amber with a creamy white head, nice lace, good retention. Smells light citrusy hoppy with a caramelly, metallic smell as well. Tastes bitter hoppy, slightly nutty, slight grassy with a sweet metallic malt taste as well. Medium body, vibrant carbonation. Gypsy19 (219), AMERICA RISING, USA Jul 26, 2008 A pretty typical craft IPA, the likes of which have been repeated over and over lately. That said, there’s really nothing to complain about. In other words, it’s good. Typical hoppy-citrusy thing going on. A lockstep interpretation of a worn out theme that the masses apparently can’t get enough of. heemer77 (3782), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottled. The body was dark gold and bronze with an off white head. The aroma was earthy grapefruit with some almonds. This was also a little bit woody. The taste was grapefruit and flowers with some nice bitterness. There was also a toasted walnut flavor. This was a good IPA, just a little boring. Oscbert (267), Sacramento, California, USA Jan 21, 2008 ~Pours a light cloudy amber colour. Small white head. Some lacing.
~Malt and light citrus hops scent.
~Sweet hoppy taste with a hint of citrus. Bitter aftertaste.
~Not as bitter as your typical IPA. I would recommend Sac Brew’s Red Horse Ale over this one, but still a good beer. It is refreshing.
