Gypsy19 (219), AMERICA RISING, USA Aug 9, 2008 A somewhat astringent pale ale, fairly hoppy, with a honey finish. I expected the metallic taste to die down after the initial few sips, but it lingers throughout, regrettably. Decent brew, but I won’t be having again, unless for free, of course. Serve this one as cold as possible for the best results, I’ve found. stoutlover72 (1336), NorCal, California, USA May 29, 2008 I can’t believe that a beer like this would be sold to consumers. There’s just so much wrong with this, I don’t know where to start. I won’t even waste my time with a breakdown of this beer other than to say that the DMS in both the aroma and flavor was as much as I have ever tasted in my life. The flavor of carrots in my beer was just too much and this and the rest of the bottles I had bought went in the trash. I’m fairly forgiving when it comes to bad beer, but this was just so shockingly, horribly bad that it deserves to be slammed. Unless I get some Sac Brew beer from a friend, or a gathering, or a tasting I will never waste my money on this shit again. Oscbert (267), Sacramento, California, USA Jan 20, 2008 Updated: Jan 21, 2008~Pours a small off white head. Brownish amber colour.
~ Malty with earthy hop aroma.
~Taste woodsy sweet. Hops medium. Bittersweet after taste.
~Palate is medium creamy. Bitter finish lingers a bit.
~I like this beer. Probably end up purchasing it again. Allthatisevil (48), alabaster, Alabama, USA Oct 10, 2007 Bottle. Pored an amberish colour. With an earthy smell. An adv. taste going down, with a nice bitter after taste. All in all I would say it is an adv. beer. marcus (1058), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 17, 2007 On tap at the brewery. This copper ale poured with a generous white head. The flavor is dominated by caramel malt, but there is a slight hoppy bitterness at the finish.
