COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saddlebock is proud to brew our version of the original wheat beer from Germany – Hefeweizen. This Bavarian style of wheat beer is pale and cloudy. It is bottled and served unfiltered so the yeast used during fermentation is still present. This special strain of yeast contributes unique fruit and spice notes to the aroma and flavor of this complex beer. Enjoy Saddlebock Hefeweizen cold, with a slice of lemon to bring out all of its refreshing flavor.

Keg @ Saddlebock. Gold with a small head. Nose is full of apple and a bit of banana. Doesn’t scream German-style wheat. Taste is very light and zippy. Pear and banana fruit leather. Light body, strong carbonation. Meh.

22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter thanks to rayjayclientele. Pours a hazy bright gold with a white head of foam. Good retention. The aroma has bright orange zest, cardamom, lemon grass, and a little banana nut bread. The taste is sweet and bready. Light body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Medium to high carbonation. Pretty enjoyable. I could see myself drinking this pretty easily after a bit of yard work.

Tastes soapy. Ok. Had at the Fayetteville Beer Festival. Rated with another program and can't transfer comments.

On tap at the brewery in Springdale, AR. Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is crisp wheats with a light lemony citrus, a touch of clove spice, hints of bready cracker, and yeast. Flavor is similar. Crisp wheats with a light cracker and sweetness. Some lemony citruses, touches of clove, yeasty pepper, and a light bread. Finishes crisp, smooth, and lightly bitter with a nice lemon note. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid hefe. Crisp, smooth wheats with a nice lemony citrus and light clove spice. Pretty good one.
