A powerful India pale ale, brewed with American Amarillo and Citra hops. A balanced malt sweetness supports the epic hop aroma and flavour explosion.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, slight mango, subtle caramel and some peppery, floral hops. Taste of grapefruit, orange, some mango, a hint of lychee, a little caramel, subtle biscuit and peppery, floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, citrus, peppery hop bitterness in the finish. It sure is a hop bomb, but at the same time balanced and easy drinking. It nice but I reckon this would be better on cask.

Served in a snifter from a 500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is a hoppy combination of citrus and grapefruit with slight grassy notes. Taste is very similar to the nose: citrus, grapefruit, grassy notes with quite a long bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice one!

Bottle from Home Bargains. (£1.49) This is a nice surprise after trying so many disappointing - ok, crap - new beers recently. Hop Bomb has something the others have lacked - flavour and body. Extremely dry at the finish. Good effort. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light golden with white fluffy head. Citrus and pine in nose . Yup get the metallic finish. Not hop bomb by any means. Bit misleading and threw me when tasting it. Expected way different. Refreshing but something there. Canít make upland if love it or thinks itís just ok. Will try again.

Bottle - thin, clear, light straw . Heavy carbonation with small white head. Strong hoppy aroma. Initial sharp ting on tongue and in mouth. Metallic aftertaste - tart grapefruit like finish - only ok.

Bottle from B&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. Hazy, pale straw coloured with a thin white head. It has a sweet fruit, toffee and slight citrus flavour followed by peppery hops on the smooth fruity pine finish. Pretty good.
