Well this was a pleasant surprise. Actually picked it up in "B&M bargains" which to our non-British friends is a discount shop. Bought it for not very much and very glad I did. Very deceptive and does not taste its strength, so beware ! Nice and smooth, hint of licorice and vanilla and not to sweet, making it very supable. Me thinks I’ll be popping back for more.

Bought from my local discount store having never heard of the beer before. Pleasantly surprised with my purchase, roasted malts and liquorice aroma with a very dark appearance with thin off white head. Taste is hops, bitter, roasted malt, caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate. The body is full and complex - overall very happy with this and I will seek it out again. A fine example of a stout.

Svart kropp med ljust brunt högt skum. Rostade toner, chocklad och kaffe. Bra balans i smaken. Fyllig kropp i förhållande till ABV.

50cl bottle from B&M, Reading. A deep reddish chestnut pour with a billowing beige head; aroma of raisins with a touch of vanilla; sweet soft and grainy in the mouth, with a definite taste of oats, but also red fruit and sweet vanilla fudge; and a dry finish with lingering red fruits and coffee. A rather good stout.

500ml dark bottle, filtered. A sweet and pleasant strong (or "Foreign") stout or dark beer. This has rich flavours - not overdone, just gently playing around in the mouth. Some raspberry, , some almond, some coconut, faint milk chocolate. Modest late bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Flaska.

Very dark brown, not totally opaque. Creamy tan head. Aroma is mainly cocoa. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Has a little twist of cocoa on the finish. The vanilla is barely present. I don’t find that in the aroma. Medium body. Very drinkable and mellow.

Dark thick black, with creamy head that lingers. Love beers that look like this. Aroma of malt and coffee, and a bit of smokiness. Thick bitter flavor, very hoppy, finishing almost with a bit of burn. It’s a bit too astringent for my mouth, both taste and palate.
