Bloody tasty in cask. Bottled version was disappointing. Seemed to lose its hops?! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Henry Addington canary wharf. Light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a small loose white head. Aroma is damp hay, straw, rough grains. Flavour is composed of grain husks, spicy, hedgerow hop, straw! Wheat. Palate is light grainy with decent cask condition. Decent rustic golden.

On cask @ the Haymarket. Appearance - lemon coloured with a decent head and a slight haze. Nose - lemon and flowers. Taste - more lemon and going into orange. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a good example of a golden ale.

Cask at The Fountain, Leek. A clear pale golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of lemon, some orange, slight grapefruit, subtle pale malts and grassy hops. Taste of lemon, orange, subtle grapefruit, a little wheat, pale malts and grassy, herbal hops. Light bodied and an oily texture. A dry, lingering, slightly tangy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Itís refreshing and citrusy yes but not a lot else. Isnít well balanced and a slightly tangy finish. Below average.

Lovely use of wheat gives this a subtle sour edge with just enough bitter balance to make it interesting but still accessible. Beautiful pale appearance, almost like a lager and shares some of those clean crisp attributes without being too gassy. Lacks real depth but an really enjoyable pint nonetheless. Need to get to the tap to try on draft.
