3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Lidl, I guessed from the label itíd be yet another Halloween special, but itís not - itís a crisp and properly bitter golden ale, with a little malty fruit and biscuit and lots (for an English bitter!) of grassy, spicy hop bitterness.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Prince Albert, Ely. Dark gold, mostly clear and flat.
Smells jarringly if sulphur, metal, peach and grass.†Astringent, sweet fruity taste. Hints of toast and raspberry jam.†Bitter astringency asserts itself again in finish. This beer grew on me, a bit too sulphurous at first but I began to appreciate the balance over the course of the pint.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - pale gold with a thin white head that quickly disappears to a ring. Aroma of honey, peaches and hay. Taste of grass, flowers and earth with caramel and light bitterness to finish with some hints of peaches. Medium body, medium carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shades of golden syrup, biscuit and orange peel but a bit too much bread. Marmalade on toast I suppose. Great brewery and this is decent but not their best. Bottled mind and suspect cask would improve it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tasted 2/4/15. BB Dec 15. Poured a crystal clear golden amber with a few bubbles for a head and laced poorly. Carbonation extremely low and fine to medium. Aroma of slightly sweet malt an no real hops. Taste of slightly sweet malt and a very sight bitterness. Light body. Dry with a light and slight sweetness and a lingering slight bitterness. Nothing sorcerer about this.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A pale golden coloured beer with a frothy but weak white head. A potent hoppy aroma, a lot of fruit, lemon, orange, peach and grapefruit plus a background biscuity malt. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a bitter, fruity hop flavour, pithy citrus fruit and peach. Then a biscuity, mild caramel malt flavour tempers the bitterness. The finish is bitter and fruity.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Steady aroma, clear pale amber with weak light white head - low carbonation. Light tasting though sharp on tongue. Not one of my best bitters.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl bottle from a Bargain Booze, in Milton, Stoke-on-Trent. A pale amber pour with a thin white head; the aroma has some citrus and sulphur; the taste is similar to Shep Neame Spitfire with some aggressive green hops up front, and a pleasant gently citrus finish. A pleasant, fresh, hoppy bitter.
