COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bob Maltman, SAGRA Beer brewer and Pepe Rodríguez, head chef of Restaurant El Bohio de Illescas - Toledo (Current National Prize of Gastronomy and Michelin star), have joined to create the first Spanish craft beer designed to accompany the dessert. The idea was born under the obsession of both fresh produce and develop a tract to be the perfect companion to pair with a dessert. To this end, has developed a triple malt beer with extra stores and conditioned in the bottle. The result is an ale-type beer, triple malt, balanced, color and aroma of chocolate, with hints of caramel and apple. Ideal to accompany any dessert or served as an appetizer.

On tap at Torst. Color is black small head. Aroma is caramel, sweetness, malts, very mild hops. Flavor is lots of caramel, honey, toffee. Very malt forward. Almost no hop character. Light carbonation. Nice mouthfeel. Overall a solid beer but I like more hop heavy Barleywines.

33cl bottle from teddybeer, cheers! Euroswap no 6. BBE OCT 18, label says 10,4%. Very dark brown in color, thin thin light brown head. Licorice, aniseed, spicy aroma, roasty as well. Flavor has licorice, syrup, roastedness, chocolate notes. Long sweet licoricy finish. Feels surprisingly light for 10%. Not too sweet IMO, although my better half thought it was quite sticky. I liked the licorice notes here. Not a bad brew in any way. High drinkability.

Couleur brune très sombre, mousse beige qui disparait. Nez café moulu et chocolat noir. Gout malté grillé, chocolat noir, café, bien doux. Corps assez cremeux. Fin douce, caramel brulé, fruits noirs. Peux etre pas a classeren barley wine.

Bottle 33cl, kindly shared by Dominique. A dark brown beer with medium white head, Nose is spicy with dark chocolate notes. Aroma is very sweet, caramel, dark candi sugar, licorice, dark chocolate hints. Correct but a bit mono dimensional, kind of imperial dubble.

Dark body and medium head. Stout like malts, chocolate and roasted malts. On the dry side if things, making this dangerously easy to drink. Pretty good effort. Nice surprise to find this in a Spanish supermarket. (75cl bottle from Carrefour in Valencia)

330ml bottle, 10.4 % abv, with a black neck bought at Vinoteca Millésimée, Palma de Mallorca. Low creamy white head head to an unclear dark-brown body. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet malty nose. Taste profile of dark fruits, caramel, and earthy malts. Mid-sweet dark malty aftertaste. Smooth in the mouth. Okay, a bit unvaried though (shared at a rating session at Finns in Tromsø, 05.08.2014).

33cl bottle. Looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black. Nice head. Strong malty-roasty aroma. Starts much milder than exspected, intense malty, not too alcoholic, notes of strong coffee, quite roasty. Finish again milder, malty, light notes of liquorice. Strange barley wine.

Dark dark ruby, beige head and slim lacings. Scents of plums dipped into marzipan and fermented. Taste; plums, apples, nuts - fruitiness all over, which lasts during the finish. [33cl btl abv 10.4% kindly shared by Rune. Pleasant rating session 5.aug.@Finns place]

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye på Nerstranda 5 Aug 14. Svart med et lite rødskjær. Lavt, litt farget skum. Svakt metallisk aroma. Smaken er plommer & marsipan. Blir syrlig etter hvert.
