Bob Maltman, SAGRA Beer brewer and Pepe Rodríguez, head chef of Restaurant El Bohio de Illescas - Toledo (Current National Prize of Gastronomy and Michelin star), have joined to create the first Spanish craft beer designed to accompany the dessert. The idea was born under the obsession of both fresh produce and develop a tract to be the perfect companion to pair with a dessert. To this end, has developed a triple malt beer with extra stores and conditioned in the bottle. The result is an ale-type beer, triple malt, balanced, color and aroma of chocolate, with hints of caramel and apple. Ideal to accompany any dessert or served as an appetizer.

750 ml bottle. 10.4%. BB Jul/18. From Spain. Courtesy of Brandman. HHOK XVI.
Dark brown - almost black - colour with a small frothy tan head. Medicine, dark fruits, malt and mild hops in the aroma. Sweet malt, chocolate, berries, medicine, alcohol, dark fruits and liquorice in the flavour. Adding the yeast gives some fruity notes. Watery. Not very enjoyable.

(bottle, 33cl, courtesy of Jonas) Deep brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Nutty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate, a subtle dried fruity touch and alcohol. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toast-malty taste with notes of chocolate, liquorice, caramel and a delicately fruit character in the background; toasty, nutty and slightly fruity finish with notes of dark chocolate and candied fruits in the aftertaste. Good. 01.III.14
