330 ml bottle bought at 759 Store on Johnston Road, Wan Chai.

Translucent amber red colour with very thin trace of yeast sediments; Less than one quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Good sticky lacing with slight carbonation; Very fragrant and sweet aroma of amber malt, with strong plums, strong raisins, strong caramel, toffee, sugar, bread, spices, strong yeast, light lemon and grass; Mid to strong sweet taste of pretty rich Ale malt, with quite strong roastyness, strong caramel, toffee, light dark fruits, light cherries, coffee sugar, dry biscuits, spices, strong yeast, lemon, moderate bitter hops and quite sharp grass; Mid to light body. Thin and quite dry palate; Mouth Feel is strong Amber maltyness in a quite watery background. Good roastyness, strong caramel and strong toffee couples with nice dark fruits, cherries and coffee sugar. Spicy, biscuit and lemony ending. Very neat!... Hoppiness is strong spice, light lemon and grass in nose, and a lot stronger in taste; Bitterness is moderately high for an lasting, mid astringent malty sweet finish; Dry after taste. Roasty and sweet-bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is a pretty standout Ammber Ale, while its body its rather thin, its maltyness is full-on with good roast, lots of nice toffee, dark fruits and dark sugar, and a pretty strong hoppiness. An unexpectedly great find!

Delt 0,33 l flaske på RBHD-treff hos meg november 2015. Klar nøttegyllen kropp med lysebrun film. Smørkaramell og løv blant duftene. Noe nøtteaktig sødme med litt beskhet. God fylde.

0,33 flaske på RBHD-samling hos Asle Bjørn: kastanjerød med ok skum. Røde bær med noe karamell i aroma og smak. Fint karbonert med myk munnfylde. Lettdrikkelig.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Clear dark cognac colour, off-white head. Nice malty aroma, some caramel, a little fruit. Malty flavour too, but not too sweet. Nicely balanced, despite the hops being very moderate. Easy drinking. Maybe not a real masterpiece, but certainly a beer I could drink again.

Bottle at Gran Canaria. Clear amber pour. Aroma of caramel, nuts, toffee, grains and some licorice. Flavor is quite malty, somewhat sweet and somewhat bitter. A bit thin and a bit boring.

It pours indeed red -or rather maroon, I should say. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla and red berries. Taste is mild, fizzy, slightly umami and has a nice bitter finish, not very long lasting. Nice ale from central Spain.

Beetje weinig schuim, maat verder prima rood. Ruikt ook naar rood, framboos ofzo. En zoet! Smaakt als een gek zoetje, vieze nasmaak
