Bottled from a supermarket in Albufeira, Portugal. Black appearance, very small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, hint of coffee and liquorice. Malty and dry flavor, liquorice, somewhat bitter finish. Quite thin mouthfeel. Feels like a ’light’ version of a schwarzbier.

(Now at 4.1%, slightly different logo.) Lounge, LIS. Rather smoky, aggressively peaty brew, wiith none of the caramelized character I’d expect. Rather strong-tasting for a Portuguese macro, but esp at higher temperatures, not that enjoyable

Olhão 11/7 2016. 33 cl bottle from minimarket in Armona. Gary simple Black label saying "Preta" for Black. Pours opaque dark brown withlight beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is roasted and of coffee and chocolate icecream. I Think my daughter would approve. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is lightly sweet followed by more distinct bitterness. Aftertaste of bitter coffee. Nice light schwarzbier.

Flaske 0.33L via Djoeye. Farge mørkebrun, nesten sort med lyst beige skum. Lukt kaffe, mørk malt. Smak litt spesiell kaffesmak, filter eller pulverkaffe, mildt røstet malt, lett bitter. En mild, lett og helt grei øl.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of filter coffee, Coca Pops and rust. Flavour of steel and rusty water. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Not very appealing.

Black. Licorice, roasted wood, simple but appealing. Smooth and very easy to drink, clean and filteredbut not without flavour. I liked it better than expected. (33cl bottle form a supermarket in Portugal)
