Aroma of roasted malts, hint of coffee and liquorice. Malty and dry flavor, liquorice, somewhat bitter finish. Quite thin mouthfeel. Feels like a ’light’ version of a schwarzbier.

20cl mini bottle. Courtesy of andregoncalves. Malty, some sweet and roasty aromas. Pours dark, with amber reflection, average tan head, almost no lacing. Light to medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is caramel, some roasty, so sweet. Sweet aftertaste.

Bottled 330ml. -Dark brown (almost black) coloured, minimal off-white head, whiff of coffee in the nose. Sweet malty, light roasty, caramel and light coffee with mild roasty finish. Lack of body is evident but all in all ok beer.

Light toffee nose. Dark brown beer, slight bubbly tan ring head. Initial taste of sweet brown sugar, lightly toasted malt and sugar paper in the mid-range. Decent consistent carbonation.Firmly sweet linger. Rolo toffee. Not too bad.
It took me ages to ask for this in a random Café, but it was worth the extra effort than another pint of plain Sagrés.

330mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold.
Aroma: Malty.A little corny. Even though it’s 4.3%, it smells boozy.
Appearance: Dark transparent brown/red. Soda like head that dissipates instantly.
Taste: Some coffee, a strange meat flavor, almost like sausage. Mildly smoky. Pretty malty. Kind of salty?
Palate: Medium body. Short-moderate finish. Pretty fizzy.
Overall: Strange. Doesn’t smell interesting, and pours like cola. Taste is unique though.

Ser ut som ett glas coca-cola. Doftar lätt rostad och sött maltighet. Mörkt bröd och rostader toner i smaken. En ok schwarzbier som saknar lite kropp.

Aroma is quite light with some roastiness and syrupy malt. Flavour is slightly sweet with roasted malt, hints of chocolate, coffee and herbs. Too thin and straigtforward for a schwarz.

The head is ok and a bit brown, the body black. The taste is darkmalty, roasty, coffee. The taste is coffee, roasty, bit bitter, malty. Nice beer from Portugal! 11/11/12/11/11/12

Brun med röd ton i färgen, beige skum. Doftar rostat bröd mörk malt, choklad och kaffe. Smakar lite tunt men rostat bröd rågbröd, gräs, söta toner av choklad och kaffe.
