330ml bottle served in a Weizen glass. A: Pours a pale yellow crystal color forming a ridiculous white bubbled head. Retention is ridiculous and no lacings are left S: Horrible smell of rice and corn. Flowery hops trying to give it some appeal... useless T: Terrible as the nose. Sweet grains upfront. Strong notes of rice and corn. Slightly hoppy bitter end M: Light body. Medium to high carbonation. Adjunct malts faint hoppy bitter aftertaste O: One of the worst things I’ve ever drunk [ BA Review @ 11/20/2012 ]

Bottle from Frank’s Liquor on Alameda. Yellow, clear appearance with a white head. Pale malts, off-notes, corn and rice. Pretty bland with a light, thin body.

Golden colour with very thin white head. Light carbonation. Not much in the way of aroma, just a hint of sweet malts. This beer is extremely light, similar to other Asian rice-based beers. Quite a sweet taste with very little taste of hops to provide any bitterness. Very short finish and rather watery taste. Possibly quite drinkable in a hot climate with spicy food, but otherwise not very interesting.

From historic notes. Bottle from a shop in Chinatown. Pours a pale yellow colour with a small white head. Grassy aroma along with sweet malts. Quite thin, average carbonation.

Alengrin (2087) - BELGIUM - SEP 1, 2014
Tasted in a Vietnamese restaurant in Brussels. Typical Asian lager, with deep golden blonde colour, snow white head and clear rice presence; aroma lightly spicy and grainy, taste sweetish, rice-like, thin and smooth with light grassy hops in the finish. Not even that bad for its substyle (if you get one that isn’t lightstruck, at least), but I liked Singha from Thailand better.

Bottle from Salling, Aalborg, shared with Simonsen
Pale golden, white head. Smell of bad medicin and cooked vegetables. Not much taste, hint of spices, better than the aroma at least. To be fair this bottle was bought for the country tick, not an expectation of something extraordinare

No retention and no lacing. Smells of sweet bread, cereal and grain. Tastes of bread, sweet cereal and straw. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle). Scent of malt, wet grass and hops. Very thin and watery taste of sour grainy malt, rice and a minimal amount of hops. I managed to drink this beer to the Vietnamese food I ate at the same time, but without the food this beer had probably been undrinkable.
