1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
a nice swill, pale golden with white head, the aroma and flavor are actually quite pleasant relative to my original expectation with the knowledge that rice is an ingredient.

From a second trade with faroeviking, thanks Jacob.
Bottled(355ml). –Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, dusty caramelly nose. The aroma is weak, some light sweet malts with obvious presence of rice and nothing else. Short watery finish.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle, 4.9%, received from faroeviking, shared with ozujsko.
An impressive amount of E’s on this one’s label. And not the "common" ones, like ascorbic or citric acid. No, they used sodium metabisulfite, sodium erythobate, lactic acid and calcium chloride (why?). And that, in addition to the fact that it’s my first vietnamese beer is pretty much the last interesting thing about this beer.
Poured a golden colour with a medium to big sized white head that went away fast. The nose is dominated by dust, with a bit of malt showing through. The taste is weak, sweetish, with notes of sour apple. Extremely weak bitterness. No aftertaste, not offensive, not good.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pale gold with white head. Aromas of metal, skunkiness, corn sweetness, rice, dry grass, and some malt liquor style alcohol heat. Flavor is surprisingly full, malty, metallic, and sugary sweet. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting, actually quite drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is known as Bia Sài Gòn đỏ (red label), which is definitely a step up from Bia Sài Gòn xanh lá cây (green label). I have had this beer on a number of occasions, the most recent being from a street vendor in Nha Trang, and yes, it was served warm with ice cubes available. I learned to tolerate this while in Vietnam. Much better than Budweiser, and I don’t think it deserves such a low rating.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a yellow colour with a thin bubbly short lasting smal white head. aroma of straw and grains, bit of hops. The flavour is rather thin with grains, bit hops and some malt. Allright on a warm day though nothing special.
