355 ml bottle bought at Wellcome Superstore in Lei Yue Mun Plaza, Yau Tong.

Piss pale golden yellow colour; Razor-thin head and residual white foam which fades in 10 seconds; No lacing with minimal carbonation; Unpleasant sweet smell of corn, rice and light metal; Very low sweet taste of sweet rice, faint malt, light chalk dust, light metallic, hint of citrus and trace of grass; Watery-light body; Mouth feel is macro light plain white paper, sweet grainy taste is disappearing fast as the beer warms. Chalk taste and metallic feel is a light touch but still annoying; Hoppiness is only manifested in faint citrus notes, almost no bitterness to show for. No finish at all; Wet after taste, easy to mouth.

Comments: Strictly for country tick only. This is actually taste slightly better than most Asian macros, feel just a bit thicker in palate. Still, poor smell and taste, near zero hoppiness. Mediocre.

Pours clear golden with no head. Aroma of light bread and malt. Taste is very mild and sweetish. Body is light with soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Just a pretty standard, forgettable pale lager. Slightly yeasty aromas and flavors along with cereal. Not offensive and an easy drinker. I think it’s better than Hanoi beer.

Bottle@Novotel, Nha Trang, Vietnam. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry with yeastiness, and the flavour is bitter with yeasty and dryness. Overall a basic lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bouteille 355ml. De couleur jaune et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle , léger de maïs sucré et de riz bouilli avec des notes de houblon floral. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort et une texture très légèrement aqueuse. Goût de malt pâle sucrés légèrement croustillant lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi rapidement de notes sucrées de maïs et de riz bouilli puis rapidement d’un goût très légèrement amer de houblon floral sec qui vient terminer la gorgée. Poste-goût court, légèrement amer de houblon floral avec des traces métalliques.

Thin head on a clear, light straw colored body. The aroma is light, metallic with a little grain. The taste is all just a moderate white sugar sweetness. One sided and not great. The texture is crisp with some fizziness; moderate carbonation. One of the worst beers I’ve had. No real aroma or taste.

Bottle->mini lager. Pale yellow with foamy white head that quickly disappears. Typical cheap lager in taste and aroma. Bland at best.

355 ml bottle, bought in an asian supermarket. Poured into a pilsner glass. ABV 4,9% Nice golden yellow colour on the body, with lots of activity in it. Head on the other hand is disappointing. One finger of white foam with minimal retention and no lacing left behind. Aroma is typical of adjunct lagers, with very notable malts and rice smell. Taste is very sweet and malty, the rice all over and something that reminds me of cooked vegetables. Very thin on the body, low carbonation. Good dryness on the palate though. Overall, I am sure it would be nice on a hot summer day or with spicy food but other than that, it lacks a lot.

’One more lager’ I thought. But it is not so bad as I first thought. Quite suave, but flavourless. Go well with hot food though.

I had this at my local Vietnamese restaurant and I enjoyed its flavor. It had a solid amount of carbonation and wasn’t watered-down. It was grassy and somewhat sweet, but it paired well with the Vietnamese dishes, especially the cilantro and bean sprouts.
