2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, at home, @10°C. Pours clear yellow with a crispy white head. Sweet sweet malty aroma, cornish note. Dry bitterness into the finish. Surprisingly good, probably due to sweet malty arome which stands out between all the Swiss industrial lagers.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
One of Vietnam’s better offerings. In my opinion, tastes quite similar to the cheaper 333. Slightly smoky element with medium bitterness and what I can only term as a sweet and slightly spicy palate. Slight grass/hay aroma too. Strong but short, medium bitter after taste.

1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Had this in a Vietnamese restaurant in Oslo. Ehm, not pleasant, no bitterness, crisp or sweetness either. It didn’t taste anything. Can’t think of anything proper to say about this. It is from Vietnam, and I’ve never had a beer from Vietnam. See? Silverlining.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Pho Saigon, Ealing. Light yellow, clear, with a big tight white head. Typical lager aroma of creamed corn tinged with citrus. Excruciatingly sweet taste, dripping with corn syrup. But satisfying enough in its own way. Surprisingly flat body. Drinkable enough and serves a purpose.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Flesje in Vietnamees restaurant in Magdeburg. Helder lichtgouden kleur, kraag is snel weg.
Ruikt zoetig als aanlenglimonade, smaakt ook niet echt als een pils en het is nog vrij waterig ook.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Pho Dong in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is light grains and hay, some slightly turned apple juice as well. Taste is light lime, some salt and sweet grains. There’s a strange herbal bitterness at the end. Overall a bit of a herbal vitamin note clouds the cleaner moments here.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Copenhagen 6/7 2016. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly. Very simple label reassuring me that this is a beer in multiple languages and that it’s from Saigon. Actually Saigon is now called Ho Chi Minh City. So much for label information. Pours clear pale yellow with white head. Dissoves into thin patchy layer of foam after a minute. Aroma is sweet and malty. Bready and grainy. Strong carbonation and watery palate. Taste is quite sweet with only a very light bitterness for balance. They have an Ear of Corn and no hops on the label - for good reason it seems.
