yarry (350), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Apr 30, 2008 355ml bottle, 4.9% a/v
Pours very light gold with an average white head. Looks like an american macro. The nose is slightly corny, and funky. The taste is strangely sweet, almost candy flavours in there, as well as some green matter. The aftertaste is fairly clean and dry. A much better beer then I expected really, a bit too sweet and cheap tasting, but not bad.
Adenila (619), Denmark Aug 18, 2008 Bubbling airy white head. Mild malt aroma with a sleightly tart and sweet flavor swoopjones (1092), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 bottle. Pours a deep golden color. Sweet malt aroma. Decent Asian style lager. Medium bodied, rather sweet maltiness. Nothing real special but drinkable DarkElf (2627), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 12, 2008 11-Feb-08 (12-oz bottle: Purchased 09-Feb-08 for $1.59 at Ledger’s Liquors in Berkeley, CA) A few Asian pale lagers are actually quite good. They are crisp and clean and sometimes offer a slight spiciness to the light hop flavor. On the first sip, this beer seems to go in that same direction, presenting a fairly clean lager taste and a very gentle hop character. However, things fall apart in the finish, where bread and cardboard rudely intrude. The nose is a fairly cardboardy though and somewhat stinky, with a slight sourness creeping in there as well. Light in body, medium in carbonation, and reasonably dry on the palate, but in the end, it’s not all that drinkable because the palate feels stale and unrefreshed from the cardboard aftertaste. Standard yellow color is ever-so-slightly hazy. Half an inch of white, bubbly head covers the beer, settling to a thin layer within minutes. Some patchy lace is scattered haphazardly on the glass. This certainly isn’t the worst pale lager from Asia, but there are definitely better ones, and I’m sure it has at least something to do with superior distribution and quick product turnover. cab (709), Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Bottle.33cl. Ok hop aroma with some malty notes, clear fluide, golden, no head, malty taste with some hay notes. NosirIwont (863), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear, pale golden with a diminishing, fluffy white head. Cereal aroma with some weird tart fruity/vegetable off-notes. Flavour is quite sweet for the style. Cereals here as well, and some faint spicy notes in the background. Metallic notes as it warms. Lingering dry bitterness with notes of bread. 06-08-08.
