UPDATED: MAR 20, 2015 Revisited and believe this is quite a good amber ale for the price, light to med body with a a nice malt bitterness. Only letdown is the carbonation which is a bit mineral fizz that doesn’t last, if it had a superior carbonation and a creamy head it would be a winner. From bottle.

345ml bottle into glass. Toffee malt nose. Nice. Deep amber with lasting tan head. Smooth toffee malt taste with nice bitter coffee finish. This is nice.

Bottle in Melbourne An average beer, nothing special but drinkable. But I’m not an amber ale lover

From a bottle. Pours a dark brown, tiny head, big malty aroma, very smooth with peaty malt flavours. Not too bad at all.

Muggus69 (1394) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - JAN 23, 2014
330mL bottle Mid-amber body, off-white head quickly dissipates into a small ring. Moderate intensity aroma; toffee, nutty malt, light toastiness. Medium bodied affair, reasonable carbonation, bit of texture to chew on. Lightly sweet malt body with flavours of toasted nut and brown toffee. Relatively firm bitterness on a minerally finish with a hint of hop spice. Pretty decent entry level amber, for what it’s worth. Probably on par with the James Squire.

Clear amber colour with light head that didn’t last. Sweet at first, more sickly sugar than fruitiness. Hops follow this but not such a pleasant aftertaste. Can only drink one, no more.

Pours burnt orange color. Nose is toffee, mandarin peel & pot pourri. Taste is burnt caramel, grapefruit and some cardboard. Bitter finish. Kinda like a barley wine blended with a bitter. Not bad but don't think it completely works. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
