2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Deep gold amber beer with small white lacy head. Mild hoppy honey aroma of red currants. Thick body for a lager. Sweetish malty flavor, very smooth. Dry grassy finish. 180208

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Golden, lacks head. Aroma has way more malt than the actual flavor does. Turns very bitter in the end. Kinda sticks to your mouth.

Keg (Bruuveri, Helsinki)
Way better draught than from bottle. Massively full bodied for a lager, loads of malt, quite sweet. Smooth mouthfeel. Goes down very easily.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle like the one shown on the picture. Pours a a golden colour with a medium fairly lasting head. Aroma of malt with some fruitiness. The flavour has a pleasant though bit werak maltines, some fruitiness and grass with a bitter finish. My thanks to Pat!

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. The aroma is a bit malty. It also has a trace of cereals flavor. And enough bitterness. Pleasant.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle. Gold with a trace of white head; malty aroma; alocohol very obvious in the mouth, metallic and acidic, with a cloyingly sweet finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2007 Draught at Panimoravintola Bruuveri, Helsinki. I sampled the class III and IV versions of this beer alongside each other and, to be honest, found it very difficult to distinguish between them. The class II maybe had a little less body, as one might expect. Deep gold/amber colour. Some light, flowery hop character in the aroma, with a reasonable balance of grassy hop and, quite dry, biscuity malt in the flavour. Clean mouthfeel. Not quite as tansy as the Rokrammi Pils from the same brewery, sampled just before, but pleasant enough.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small white head. Aoma is fruity. Flavor is also fruity, a little malty and a hint of bitterness. An OK, but rather tame lager.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Clear, golden body and a small, white head. The nose is balanced, but weak, and I would like some more flavor as well, even though there’s some fruityness to accomplish the malt and hops. Medium body and a decent hoppyness in the finish. Quaffable, that’s it. (070302)
