Beige head, not much lacing, ruby brown clear body. Looks good, nice cone shaped bottle. Scent of grassy hops, roasted malts, hints of coffee with liquorice. Fruity taste, chocolate malts, plums, grassy hops, roasted coffee-cream. Slightly dry, alright body. Milder finish than taste, still chocolate malts, very moderate roasted bitterness, hints of plum juice. Overall a tasty dark one. (330ml btl abv4.6% B@Kilpishalli, T@Home)

Clear deep mahogany with bit ruby, short thin film of beige foam on top. Very malty aroma has syrup, dark bread, "mämmi" (traditional finnish malty dessert). Light body, very malty flavor also, low carbonation, bit watery feel, reminds Czech dark beer in a way, slight touch of vegetables. If you like malty taste you may enjoy this. To me it was bit one-sided and watery.

Drank from a can at home. The beer has a malty and smoky taste and is actually much better than what I expected. Looks dark.

.5l can from Keljonkangas ABC Pours dark red, coca-cola color with high off-white head. It doesn’t last long though... Aroma is metal, dark malts, grass. Flavor is dark malts, hops, dark bread and grass.

Zarkam (416) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 4, 2014
330ml bottle, clear dark copper colour, small frothy off-white mostly dissipating head, little bit of lacing. Moderately malty roasty aroma with some hints of coffee and chocolate, light herbal hops. Taste is initially sweet and slightly acidic, turning into a moderately bitter and slightly salty finish with a slightly metallic feel. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Somewhat interesting for a Finnish supermarket lager though the body is too thin and the otherwise decent finish had a weird off-taste.

Reddish brown clear beer with a frothy beige head disappearing fast. Aroma has chocolate and sweet malts . Taste is bready malty, little roasted and chocolaty sweet. Comes out also a bit watery. There’s some metal on both aroma and flavor. Thin palate with moderate carbonation. A moderate amount of bitterness on a short finish. A nice low ABV dunkel, probably a good dinner beer.
