This has become my all-time favourite. It could be over-poweringly elderflower for some, but anyone who has hiked the trails of this grand countryside knows the aroma and taste are real. 10/10 in my book. Shame it is a little pricey per volume, but worth a try. Warning: You will get hooked.

Headless green gold. Beautifully fragrant tinned lychee and pollen aroma. Sweet and vibrant with the elderflower dominating all else. Mellow acidity to counter the sweetness. Lady cider no doubt, but a good one.

Bottle - pours very pale straw, almost clear, with a short lived white fizzy head that fades to nothing. Aroma of elderflower - somewhat artificial - and aniseed notes. Taste is very sweet, too sweet. Starts off with the elderflower flavours, developing into some floral and orange and then a sour and slightly acidic apple and pear finish. Light body, strong carbonation. A very lovely drink but unfortunately too sweet to enjoy a lot of.

Pours pale golden. aroma of elderflower, orchard and floral. Taste much the same. A bit sweet but not too sweet and nice balance of floral and tart flavors. light body with a better (not too much) carbonation considering it came in a bottle. I liked it quite a bit.

Pale greenish yellow with no head and medium carbonation. Smells of Elderflower and sweet green apples. Medium body with citrus tinge. Little medicinal, elderflower, green apples. A little sour.

Lightly carbonated. Aromas of apple (delicate) and elderflower (more intense). Flavour more elderflower cordial than cyder with pear drop hints. Syrupy sweet and quite heavy in the mouth.

330ml bottle from Sainsburys. Clear pale yellow colour, short lived thin white bubbly head and aroma of elderflower, fragrant turkish delight, fruity. Taste is very sweet, elderflowers, strong perfumey turkish delight, along with tart sour acidic juicy apple. Slightly spritzy mouthfeel, light bodied, fine to medium carbonation, sweet and sour at the finish. OK as a dessert tipple.

You know, I hated it when it was warm but now it has been chilled it’s okay. Shame to use elderflowers though when they could go in a nice lambic.
