Pub (4103), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jan 29, 2008 Bottled, 500ml, pasteurised. Red amber with short lasting white head. Working my way through some old bottles and realised I hadn’t rated this one. Tjin and slightly cardboardy body, the aging hadn’t gone so well. Still hints of hoppiness and a cereal like malt body with a slightly perfumed background. Average. Fin (2348), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 11, 2006 Regularly picked up at Sainsbury’ Kidlington, though haven’t noticed it much for a while. A reddy brown coloured bitter that has plenty of hoppyiness about it, but it’s a bitter that has no real stand out charactersitics but otherwise is absolutely fine. CampbellWilson (533), Scotland Dec 15, 2004 Clear bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pasteurised. Copper/red. Diminishing head. Trademark Wychwood aroma (yeast characteristic? - apple/toffee/cardboard) Medium mouthfeel. Slightly spicy. Medium length hop finish. Not unpleasant, just a bit boring. Garrat (1065), Suffolk, England Jan 13, 2004 A thin and quite hoppy bitter,an ok effort from Wychwood, nothing that different here. Rob_Bestwick (555), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England Sep 3, 2003 slightly sterile aroma, pours with a dark copper hue and off white head, fairly bland and sterile flavour, bitter finish, not very good.
