3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (9096) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 16, 2013
Bottle from the Cromwell Road Sainsbury’s in London. Pours light copper with a few white bubbles. Aroma is mostly floral, but there could be some grass. Med body. Very sharp carbonation. Flavor is bitter floral/herb. With some roasty malt. Maybe it’s herby. Certainly hard to pin it down, cause the malt is spicy? Tastes pretty good. Finishes on the bitter side.

Hell herber Antrunk, dumpf hopfig. Leider bleibt das Bier dumpf, im Hintergrund bananig hefig. Bitterer Ausklang. Nett. 9/11/9/10/10/9

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 downender (5275) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2013
Earthy malts, a touch of grassy hop but marred by the boiled sweet and wet cardboard notes so common in English bottled beers. Poor.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 johndoughty (3302) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle. Clear bronze appearance. Slightly spicey with a hoppy background. I was quite surprised that Sainsburys had produced something as pleasant as this then I realised where it was brewed.
Well done Sainsburys.

Bottled 27/06/12. A bronze to gold coloured beer with a wisp of off-white head. A bit fusty cardboardy in the nose. Crisp grassy hops in the mouth. A decent body. A bit spicy lagerish. Average.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 SilkTork (4919) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - MAY 18, 2012
500ml round bottle from Sainsbury’s. This is the distinctive St Peter’s bottle with the wavy lines at the bottom, but round rather than flat. Pale biscuit malt, moderately sweet and juicy with some fatness, so this is like a a fruit impregnated biscuit. Rusty lagerish hops on top - finishing powdery. Not much awareness of the wheat. And no awareness of clove or banana as mentioned on the label. More lager than wheat beer. Quite drinkable. Quite acceptable. A sort of fat, indifferent, sweetish, crude Czech lager.

Bottle. Golden brown with a thin head. Aromas are pear, raisins and apple with biscuit and grain. Nutty alcohol with lemon. Flavours are biscuit malts with bitter, resinous lemon. Floral with some herbal aspects. Not bad.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Martin243 (487) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2012
500 ml bottle served cold. Orange body with a thick white head. Citrus and spice flavour with a hint of almonds and a digestive biscuit finish. I note some other raters have been less than entheusiastic, but personally I enjoyed it.
