2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at my parents house, from JS thanks to the old man, 25/01/13.
Hazed mid amber with a good sized frothy white head that retains well.
Nose carries muted hop tones - dumbed down and not very fresh, caramel malts, orange, lemon sherbet, hint of soap, a general musty and tired aroma. Lots of descriptors but none make it score more than 5 !
Taste comprises faded hops, touch of pine, citrus, orange marmalade, caramel.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some hop bitterness in a dry finish.
A pretty basic and below par IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale amber beer with a sweet, citrus aroma. Flavour is an interesting blend of malt and tangy fruit hop flavours. The finish is slightly sour but the shame of it is that the flavour and finish both dissipate quite swiftly. A perfectly pleasant beer but with a bit more... something it could have been really very nice.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Largely opaque orange, ok but short-lived head. Smooth, slightly dry, malty, spiced. Smells good. Quick acceptable and very cheap!

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a great IPA, but ok, pours a pale colour and has typical IPA hop character, I’ve had better, this is not bold enough

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden with a small head. It has an excellent pale ale aroma with a fruitiness evident although this is less stated in taste.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml bottle - What looked like a rather plain generic made for supermarket brand is in actual fact a little bit different. Tap Room brewing company (US) have produced quite a nice IPA. Long lasting white frothy head, subtle fruity aroma and a plum taste that lingers on the palate.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Poured a clear light amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is of malt and a hint of toffee caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty, hoppy bitter, weak liqourice palate.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 29/08/13. Pours a hazy orange with a small, off-white head. Aroma is stingy with orange, citrus, light ethanol, light grapefruit. Taste is pretty mild. Stingy, biscuity. Some citrusy hops, some floweriness. Light ethanol. A bit hot this one really. Light with decent carbonation. Doesn’t really complement a spicy Bengali dish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle). Sweet scent and taste of brown sugar, ripe tropical fruit and raisins. The flavors are fairly muted but an OK beer!
