With a malty town this English Bitter is simple yet flavorful. It appears dark brown in town with a simple small head. It has a simple taste that lingers and leaves you coming back for more.

I did not really taste the difference at all. Bit straw, some hops and few moments of caramel combined with a decent bitter ending and a bit of spruce in the finish. Not bad but not really classy.

Bottle - drank from the bottle because I was on a train - copper red, white bubbly head. Aroma of dried fruit, roast malt and a bit of grassy hop. Taste is light maltiness, slightly woody and toasty, earthy and some grapefruit and lemon comes out towards the end. Mildly bitter, medium sweetness, medium body, medium carbonation. I quite liked it.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is toast and bready malt, earthy hops and light apple esters. Flavor is malt and hop balanced with a slight hop bitterness over the malt sweetness, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

0.5l clear bottle @ Bayswater Hotel Room. This is a clear light wood watered down brown looking one with a small faint beige sidesticking and islandy top. On the nose this gives me a good amount of caramel and nuts. Roasted nuts? Have to think about that for a while, but it is something super nutty going on here. Could it be snickers peanuts? Think so. Actually the aroma Is no tall that bad. It has thin and really watery feeling in the out with a just below average carbonation level. It doesn’t taste as skunky or bad as I was fearing. Light toffee caramel, more peanuts, some grassy things and a little bit of wood. Surprising, not directly good but not horrible either. 08.11.2013

500ml Bottle Sainburys. Amber gold with a medium off white head. Fruity hop aroma. Nice enough beer I would have it again.

500ml bottle at home. Bronze copper pour, thin white short-lived head. Aromas of malt, metal, dusty floral hops, toffee malt. Taste has more of the same, light red fruit notes coming through. Light bitterness. Light body, thin texture, short finish. OK.

Medium offwhite head. Clear brownish body. Rubbery caramelly aroma with nutty floral perfumy notes. Dry-sweet earthy dusty caramelly taste with roasted straw notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy caramelly nutty aftertaste with spicy roasty notes. Nice, drinkable, subtle. (0.5l bottle from Sainsbury’s Local, London.)
