COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 500ml bottles at Sainsburys supermarkets as part of their Taste The Difference range.

A lovely golden amber ale with subtle hints of toffee and caramel beautifully balanced by hoppy notes from the Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger hops. Delicious with Cumberland sausage and mash.

50ml brown glass bottle from Sainsbury - part of a 3 for £5 deal. Toffee, thin malt leading into a tannic finish. A dusting of hops. Drinkable, and without significant flaws, but not interesting or particularly tasty. OK.

Fine one with malt, lots of hops, bit barley. Balanced and fresh piwo with classy moments and high drinkability.

Bottle from Sainsburys in Folkestone. Pours out in a deep golden colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of mild hops, barley and malt. Taste of medium bitter hops, grass, citrus, light malt and light barley. Good balanced bitterness - makes it refreshing. Solid Bitter.

Bottle. Amber-gold, not much head. Has a medium bitterness without any notable flavours. A bit dull.

Bottle at home. Dark amber brown with a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, wood. Flavour is similar, low hops. It was ok really but a little boring.

Bottle. Golden with an off white head. Aromas are grainy with black tea and hints of strawberry. Marmalade with spicy, nutty notes. Flavours are sweet grain with hedgerow and light lemon. Dry tea with a nutty finish. Pretty OK.

Bottle via Fred consumed Sun 26th January 2014 A rather average bitter, you could almost guess it was from the Marstons stable. Muddling bittersweet flavours but lacking in all departments, though some caramel and a little fruit twang distinguish it ever so slightly. Boring beer I’m afraid. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. A nice bitterness, well balanced beer. But on the whole a bit average.

500 ml bottle - Pretty standard flavours and a hoppy taste. No hints of toffee or caramel and its amber ale is deceiving. It would be better described as a bitter.

500ml Bottle: BBD 30 Nov 2013, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 4 Sep 2013. As mentioned on another beer website: the front label on the bottle reminds me of those old British Rail Posters. Orange hue to the amber body, on top a full white head of tight foam. The nose was both floral and malty, biscuity malts with spicy flowers. Taste wise it leads with a light malt flavour and finishes with a hop mini-bitter feel. Fairly crisp body and well carbonated, all in all, not a bad supermarket beer.

Bottle from the Cromwell Road Sainsburys. Pours light copper with a transient head. Aroma seems lightly floral grassy. Med body. Flavor is floral/spicy/citrus. Malt is lightly roast. Certainly drinkable.
