Saint Andre is made with a blend of five specialty malts imported from Belgium. These help to create a smooth, complex character which is balanced by a crisp hop flavour. The result is a remarkably drinkable beer that celebrates the best Europe has to offer. Lager in The Bohemian style. Note: Brewed by Doug Pengelly of Ste. Andre at the Stratford Brewing facility.

Malty, and therefore popular among my friends. More noticeable malty flavour with breads and spicy food. Very easy drinkability.

Cheesy yeast speech with salty lingo...The lack of substance in the hops is copied by the sweetness of a filet of peach...Another one of those diving board beers, that could land a few tasters to better things...

Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Appearance is copper to brown. Little or no head formation (in Unibroue Raftman tulip glass) Aroma is grainy/grassy with a faint hint of sweet malt. Tasted is muted. Slight malt and grainy taste, no hoppy bitterness at all. Watery and bland finish.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2005 TFOB 2005. Draft. Amber brown, small white head. Toasted malt and muted citrus in the aroma. Pleasant bitterness, some citrusy hopes over malt. Less of the malt and caramel flavours that i remember/associate with it. Average palate. 5-6/3/6/3/13<P> Toronto Festival of Beer 2001 - Nice vienna Lager. Sweetly complex, easy to drink. 7/3/7/3/14

A very good rendition of the Vienna style of lager. Red in colour, with a bright white head, this beer blends complex malty character with a drier finish. Very Good.

Pours a nice copper colour with a thin head. Beautifull caramel malt aroma with a touch of hops. Caramel and malt flavour with a nice bitterness. An overall good beer

Slight hoppy aroma. Nice redish brown colour. I like the balance of bitter and malt and creamy smoothness. It is a decent beer. I can taste a little bit of alcohol in the flavour. I've recently read the other day that zinc plays a roll in the sensitivity of your taste and smell. I've been supplimenting my diet with zinc for a month now. I have to agree with what I read. This has made my enjoyment of beer better.

The aroma is malty, with a touch of hops. Copper, medium vanilla head. Fine malty presence, some nuttiness. Creamy with good bitterness, nicely balanced. A good Vienna Lager.

Beautiful amber colour, nice head. Lots of caramel and malt in the aroma and taste, with a pleasing hoppy undertone & finish. One of my summertime favourites.
