COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saint Andre is made with a blend of five specialty malts imported from Belgium. These help to create a smooth, complex character which is balanced by a crisp hop flavour. The result is a remarkably drinkable beer that celebrates the best Europe has to offer. Lager in The Bohemian style. Note: Brewed by Doug Pengelly of Ste. Andre at the Stratford Brewing facility.

On tap at the Beer Bistro in Toronto. Rich amber color, with lots of red, lovely. Rich, nutty aroma with fruit and lots of caramel. Flavor very nutty and grainy, with milk, cherries, caramel, and toffee. Dryish finish but the malt keeps working. Nice.

On tap at C’est What. Aroma of grains, and almost no hop bitter. light body, good carbonation. Lightly sweet flavours of biscuity malts and slight hop bitter. Well made, true to style.

A very good rendition of the Vienna style of lager. Red in colour, with a bright white head, this beer blends complex malty character with a drier finish. Very Good.

341 ml bottle. Orange amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy and rocky off-white head. Honey, lightly grainy, light bread, and velvety caramel aroma. Bready, orange, and lightly grainy flavours with a sweetish, lightly acidic, and lightly spicy finish, plus a very late nutty bitterness. Light bodied but refreshing mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Tap at Beer Bistro. Rich copper-coloured beer with a thick creamy off-white head. Softly toasted malt aroma over a very clean base. A whiff of toast and soft floral hops as well. Flavour is very well-balanced. Soft maltiness with a crisp, clean finish. Lingering breadiness. It’s a very well-made, quaffable take on this style.

Darker golden colour, noble hop aromas, nice bitter hop flavour. A very rich lager. I’ve only had it at C’est What; some of my friends love craft beer but some of my friends don’t care for ales. So if this were available on draft more often we’d always get pitchers of this.

Fairly strong sweet malt aroma. Medium body, clean malty, sweet flavour. Good hop bitterness for balance. Nothing exceptional, but well worth a pint.

The aroma is malty, with a touch of hops. Copper, medium vanilla head. Fine malty presence, some nuttiness. Creamy with good bitterness, nicely balanced. A good Vienna Lager.

Pours a nice copper colour with a thin head. Beautifull caramel malt aroma with a touch of hops. Caramel and malt flavour with a nice bitterness. An overall good beer

Tap at the Alex P Keaton, in London, Ont- Props goes out to Mark< Andrew, and Jeff for getting this one in! Deep amber pour marker with an off white creamy cap. Distinct malty sugary aroma with caramel and a well delivered hop aroma. Flavours are subtle and balanced. The right amount of sweet malt with a decent hops bitterness and caramel finish make this one a winner. Glad I got to try it, and thanks again to the guys at the Keaton for getting it in.
