3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2014 12 oz. bottle from Lunardi’s Market. Nose of corn and yeast. Taste of corn and grain with a mild graham cracker sweetness. Lingering bitterness on the finish. Flavor a bit strong but good balance. Easy drinking. A little like a pilsner. Not as crisp or clean as some Kolschs.

Can. Tastes like creamy corn, straw, light floral and sweet citrus, doughy malt. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like corn, doughy malt, light grass, floral, and citrus notes.

Surprised this ain’t a little higher. Not that I loved it or anything, but wasn’t turrible even next to some big ol tasty beers. Good for the style for sure. Crisp and clean with enough flavor to not be boring.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours clear blonde with a modest white head and a light floral aroma. There is a medium-bodied pilsner flavor with a crisp bitter finish. Very refreshing.

Very pale colour with visible fizz. Head quickly disappears leaving a slight laciness. Slightly too fizzy for me with a bitter aftertaste. (K)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear blonde with bubbly head. Wasn’t super impressed with it. Simple aroma, simple flavor. See now it’s crafted similar to a pilsner so bumped the grade up a bit but not much to it. Refreshing.

Can at AA. Nose is lemon, bread, quite clean. Light lemony flavor, nice light bitterness, authentic and crisp, and enjoyable Kolsch.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Clear pale yellow, firmer fine bright white lasting foam. Lager malt aroma. Fresh clean crisp milder biscuit lager malt taste, lightly bitter herbal spicy floral hops, some lemony citrus towards the end. Average carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Tasty palate cleanser, easy to quaff, totally sessional and extremely: LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a slightly transparent golden yellow color with a slight transparency about it to allow a slight carbonation to be seen rising. The head was a slightly foamy sort of white with a slight bubbliness on the outside of the glass.
The smell actually didn’t have too much with an okay sort of sweet corn to it.
The taste was mainly just sweet.
On the palate, this sat about a light on the body with an okay sessionability about it. The carbonation good for the style and for me.
Overall, an okay kolsch that’s actually quite poundable on a hot Summer’s day, there’s just not too much going on.
