Modeled after the bright, beautiful ales of Koln, our interpretation has a clean, crisp, malt character similar to a pilsner. The authentic Kolsch yeast strain pairs perfectly with our unique blend of aromatic Noble hops from Germany.

650ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a generous white head that settles quite quickly leaving only spotted lacing behind. Aroma is mild spice with some light fruits and grains. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a mild spicy hop bitterness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Well done for the style and recommended.

Poured from a can. Pale gold. A little cloudy. Big head, white, doesn't last long. Little lacing. Grassy aroma. Tastes like somebody added a little spice to a macro. Probably good after doing some yard work. Taste fades quickly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the better kolsch’s I’ve come across. Not typically a fan of the style but this pours nicely w/ a fairly faint aroma. The flavor has a decent bite to it & isn’t nearly as bland as most in this style. It’s ok!

Straw colored pour, bright white head. Clean and crisp. Very easy to drink. Pale malts, hay, grassy hops.

Super clean and fresh, like fresh linen off the line. Some honey, mineral water and a soft hop finish. Probably good for a pre lube summer sess.

Aroma is pale/grainy malts and an almost Macro edge. The flavor is pale/grainy malts, mild sweetness, earthy notes, light citrus and a beery finish. Had a Macro edge to it, decent enough though.

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Modern Times pint glass From: My cousin, who got it from BevMo! in Santa Barbara, Calif. Price: N/A Purchased: April 20, 2014 Consumed: April 25, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured a yellow, golden, mostly clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of white head. Slowly moving bubbles coming up from the bottom. Just a few spots of lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average-to-minimal retention. Thought pilsner with the initial smell, not a Kölsch like Beer Advocate had it at. Smelled biscuit, bread, corn, hay, honey, cereal, Corn Pops, crackers and some spices. Tasted pretty close to what I thought it would have after taking a whiff, but not quite as good. Very dry on the tongue. Got corn, bread, biscuit, hay, cereal, German spices, honey, grass and slight apple. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. A very tasty brew. I would have another once for sure.

Appearance looked very generic. Aroma was very light and taste was not very memorable. This just seemed like a generic blonde beer.

Nice look with long lasting head. Aroma is very light as is the taste. Not a bad beer for sipping, but far from great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz on tap in ’Quinns’ the bar inside San Diego’s Sheraton on 17th March 2014. Golden and clear, white collar and wispy head, carbonation bubbles rising through. No aroma and very little actual taste, typical Kolsch I suppose. There is a light malt lead, with a mild sweetness but overall I found this boring and nothing like a real beer from Koln ( which I also struggle to find flavour or real enjoyment in).
