Everything you’d expect from a great American IPA: Hop-forward, yet civilized. Bitter but balanced. Cascade hops ring loud and clear with citrus/pine notes and are backed up by a chorus of our other favorites - Apollo, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Crystal, and Simcoe.

Bottle shared by jackl at the April 2014 Charlottesville tasting. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, floral, citrus hops. The taste is caramel malt, bitter citrus hops. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, decent balance.

Bottle @ The Charlottesville Tasting. Light amber pour with a small white head. Light mango smoothie. Nice and bright. A bit of lemon. Sweet caramel malts, cows tails. The taste is pretty clean. Mellow lemon poppyseed cake. Chalky mineral. Dirty grass. Much more subdued malt profile than the nose suggests. Light body, soft carbonation. Not bad. Fresh, bright.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2014 Pours a clear gold light amber. Nice soapy head. Aroma is citrucy hops and grapefruit. Taste follows the Aroma with a pretty good malt backbone. Not bad really.....FROM A CAN I’m tagging on a second rating because there was such a improvement in taste.. Aroma citrucy grapefruit tangerines caramel malt and mouth feel was smoother and the beer tasted fresher and smoother and had more characters. Way better poured from a can!

22 oz bottle. It pours a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is brightly floral and piney with some citrus and orange oil. The flavor is very floral and orangy with very light notes of caramel. Floral and piney bitter finish. Pretty good one. Maybe a bit too bitter.

Palate is spot on thick but not syrup. Semico comes through in aroma but taste is pine and grapefruit. Big bubble head that fades. Sweet finish very nice ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance was clear gold with lasting creamy white 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are enticing with floral citrus juice, pine, lemon and hints of bready malts. Taste are grapefruit, pine, lemon and tangerine bomb, slight bready sweet malts. Palate was smooth bubbling CO2 with medium body, lasting citrusy and piney finish. Solid west coast IPA, needs more balance of the pine.

Clear yellow orange with a one-finger white head and nice sticky lace. Big grapefruit aroma accompanied by a hint of bready malt. Overpowering grapefruit on the palate with a barely detectable bready malts in the background. Medium body and carbonation, sticky mouthfeel, and big citrus in the finish.
