COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Everything you’d expect from a great American IPA: Hop-forward, yet civilized. Bitter but balanced. Cascade hops ring loud and clear with citrus/pine notes and are backed up by a chorus of our other favorites - Apollo, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Crystal, and Simcoe.

Bottled. Light gold color, lively carbonation with a 1cm frothy white head. Aroma of lemon pepper, grapefruit, hay and danky weed. Similar flavor, leaning slightly more malty than hoppy. Dry finish, crisp, clean and refreshing. Decent balance and easy to drink. Not quite up there with the rest of the SD IPA veterans, but they’re off to a damn good start.

Hazy golden coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bright citrus and piney hops with a good floral and grapefruity note at the end - mouth watering! Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and floral hoppiness up front with a good malt backbone to balance and a smooth but pungent grapefruity hop finish. Aftertertaste has a deep hop bitterness with a great malt backbone and a relatively light and smooth finish for a San Diego based IPA, but still shows nicely. Overall, a good IPA that I wish I could get regularly, but not as hoppy nor as intense as AleSmith or Stone, but a solid choice for a SD-based IPA! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Olive Tree Market Place in San Diego, California on 07-June-2013 for US$4.49 sampled at home in Washington in celebration of finishing the USMC Marathon on 27-October-2013.

Bottle; clear dull dark gold with a white head. A lot of carbonation streams. Arome of NW hops; fruity, earthy, and a touch of pine. Very resiny flavor; hops were a strange mix and probably didn’t reach its full potential. Flavor needed some tweaking but it was good enough.

22oz bottle. Rating #18. Dark gold, light copper pour. Very clear with a white head. Pine aroma, with a bit of citrus. Very bitter, light pine and a huge bitter aftertaste. (2867)

Tap at Stone Escondido. Clear orange. Decent lace. Red fruit and melon nose. Clean body, not as abusive as the other IPAs on tap today. Butterscotch adds some density and needed sweetness. Still, quite heavy on the bitterness. Solid.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Flowery hops, light pale and grainy malty base, light fruity hops, and a medium grassy hoppy finish.

Aroma: citrus, floral. Taste: medium bitterness, peach, pine, very carbonated. Overall: I liked this one this is the kind of beer you can take to a party and enjoy the flavor. I think this a good IPA and I hope expect great things from Saint Archer.
