Our 20th Anniversary Ale is pure, with no additives or preservatives. In order to maintain the freshest flavor possible, we do not pasteurize our beer. Many of its subtle flavors are delicate and would not stand up to the heat of pasteurization. We recommend that this product be stored cold to avoid any degradation in flavor. Malt: This beer is brewed with Maris Otter, pale two row, Munich and Chocolate malted barley. Maris Otter accounts for 60% of the grist. Hops: We bittered the beer with Centennials, finished it in the kettle with Cascades and dry hopped with Simcoe. Yeast: We use our house Saint Arnold yeast.

Draft at MBCP 2016. Nose is grassy. Not much booze. Very bitter. Interesting. A lot of boost. Meh

22oz bottle 2/3/16 (Spec’s-Addison)-40° in Tulip-Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel, toffee, and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit of hops on the back end along with alcohol. This full bodied brew is well balanced and hits the spot on a chilly night.

Originally rated on 6/14/14. Wow i couldnt tell by tasting that this is a barleywine.. I thought it was more of a brown IPA. Deep brown, but clear body. A thin tan head left some spotty yet thick lace behind. Aromas of caramel, and chocolate malts, some fruitiness from the yeasts and a nice citrusy hop presence. Mouthfeel is medium and slightly sticky. Nice complex flavors of the citrus hops, caramel malts and fruity yeasts intermingle nicley, and there was a slight chocolate presence. A bit on the thin side for a barleywine, yet satisfying and complete, without being overwhelming. Nice anniversary beer..

Bottle. Deep burgundy hue, mostly cloudy, with a silky head of sandy tan. Intense aroma -- creamy vanilla and toffee, orange juice, cherry. The flavor’s far less orderly than the nose, with more booze, some off-putting citrusy bitterness and a metallic twang. The maltiness is present; the sweetness isn’t. Soft medium body; mild CO2. Not a bad little barley wine that hides its ABV well.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong yeast, caramel, grain, figs. Thin mouth, rich malt, caramel, dark fruit, boozy, vanilla, very sweet, really enjoyed this.

Taste at FyneFest from rate beer crowd. Dark brown colour. Quite surypy. And heavy. Nice.

orange pour, off white head. Very sweet. Boozy, toffee, brown sugar, golden raisins...not much in the way of hops. Tasty but a tad over the top.
