Fantomas23 (462), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA Feb 21, 2007 Thanks to the Wife for bringing this back from a trip to Houston. Good looking amber ale. It’s, well, amber with a butterscotch tinged head. Fruity aroma with an interesting interaction of citrusy hops. Taste is very malty with some hop balance. Caramel, biscuit, ripe golden fruits. Finish seemed a little metallic, but otherwise quite enjoyable.
WeeHeavySD (1849), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 7, 2008 12oz from thickfreakness. Pours amber with a tan head. Nose is sweet and slightly malty. Taste is sweet and malty and overall just ok. AndrewKScott (401), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 14, 2008 Had this in Houston, and I was impressed, as the craft beer scene seemed pretty thin. Bicuity, with a light hop finish. I could definitely drink a few of these. llcooldave (180), San Antonio, Texas, USA Sep 6, 2008 Cloudy orange amber in color. Weak aroma of herbs and some citrus. Clean tasting with a bitter nutty malt finish. A nice amber overall but nothing I was excited about. Pershing (113), Garland, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2008 Dark Amber with a creamy off white head. Malty and slightly sweet. The hops need to stand out more. Overall a decent everyday beer. maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 9, 2008 On tap at Home Plate Bar and Grill in Houston, TX on 07/26/08. Clear amber body with a small creamy white head. Sweet grainy and fruity aroma. Grainy flavor, more fruity and pale malt. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.
