Soonah (460), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Apr 22, 2008 Poured a dark gold or maybe light copper color. The head was white, one-finger tall and offered up small bits of lacing. The aroma was light caramel malts and plenty of tart lemony citrus. Some light spicy hops and softer floral notes as well. The flavor was malt, caramel, lemon and some light spice. The mouthfeel was unremarkable. The finish was clean. Enjoyable.
Droptank (44), Spring, USA Jul 25, 2008 Nice malty flavor and clever balance of hops. Love the taste! I would recommend to all. mcbackus (566), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2008 bottle: pours a cloudy orange cooper with a small white head slight lacing. aroma is very sweet with a little corn aroma, very sllight hops. flavou r si very weak, slight corn and grains, no hops, sweet not to great. johnnysmoke (32), Texas, USA Jul 4, 2008 Nice balance of malt and hops. This ale seems to me more like a good American pale ale. It is quite a bit similar to Siera Nevada pale. Nice hop, floral aroma. Beer pour medium head that mostly dissiapates. There is some lacing. The flavor begins with good malt and finishes with a bit of hop bitterness. Very good for a Texas beer.
plbogen (2), Bryan, Texas, USA does not count Jun 28, 2008 Good amber ale, not my favorite but a good one that I enjoy especially when I barbecue. Beerlando (1157), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pours a clear, medium-golden color. A foamy, off-white head settles to a wispy film with a thin edge. Random, sticky spots of lacing mark the glass. Aromas include toasted bread, cereal grains, light toffee, and spicy, floral hops. Flavors are similar, primarily showing toasty grain flavors, sweet biscuit, and moderately hoppy floral notes. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated, it is fairly easy to drink. Unimpressive in any particular category, this is a decent little amber ale that makes for a nice enough summertime beer.
