BCMike22 (79), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 15, 2008 Poured into a Boulevard Bob’s ’47 pint glass. medium head, settles quickly. Golden brown with a red hue. Smells somewhat sweet with a hint of some spice that I can’t identify. Wow! Very full tasting and far reaching on the palate. Not overpowering, but full of flavor. Not really as sweet or spicy as I was expecting. TONS of flavors in there, but all somehow nicely balanced. Very tasty winter brew, highly rec’d.
hopeye101 (11), Cedar Park, Texas, USA Aug 3, 2008 Just picked up a sixer from the Christmas in July release.
Pours a light head - about 1/2 finger.
Smell is subtle - spicy , some clean hops.
Taste. nice and slippery in the mouth. I can taste the spice (nutmeg?).
Wonderful moutfeel. just the right amount of carbonation.
Drinkability. This beer is dangerous. Extremely easy drinking for an 8% abv.
Quite an interesting beer to drink in the summertime -- when it’s 105 outside. A nice break from the hop monsters that I usually crave in the summer.

kidmartinek (673), austin, Texas, USA Jul 30, 2008 Showed up on shelf in July 08. Pours dark copper with a clear presence and a small head that hardly lasts the first 2 sips. Smells like strong malt and alcohol, with some noble hops, perhaps. Flavor has a little spice kick, and is other wise heavily malty with a little caramel flavor. Palate is full and a bit heavy or thick but not overly so. Finish is like light syrup and malty. Droptank (58), Spring, USA Jul 28, 2008 Amber, jolly , delicious and refreshing as hell in July. Kudos boys, Christmas in July has struck again. I thought the blend of caramel, malt, and even a bit of cinnamon were great. jkwalking05 (171), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 Red -amber in color with a small beige head. Aroma is malty and spicy. Flavor isMalty with a ligt taste of raisins and figs. slimchill (606), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 15, 2008 Draught (Christmas in July 08). A clear ruby body with nearly no head. Sweet cherry nose and flavor with slightly darker not-quite-caramel sweetness. Not very spicy for a Christmas beer, but appropriately warming. Very nice thick and chewy palate.
