Clear, amber. Thin head that didnt last. A nose with a hint of strawberries and subtle spices. Nothing too assertive. Smooooth medium to almost thick body, palate is full of subtle flavors of malt, spices and hops. Very interesting brew. Thanks Legion!

Pours a rich red/brown, carbonated, fluffy tan head; great looking in the glass. Aroma of medium strength, some grassy hops as well as fruity malt. An initial bitterness gives way to sweet, a slightly viscous mouthfeel and warm finish, hops again with some interesting maltiness there, a touch of caramel. Lasts. Quite well done.

Pours dark copper with a thin white head. Smells of apricots, cherries and raisins? Taste is fruity, but not as obvioud as the bouquet suggests. Mouthfeel and finish are definitely more lively than the other beers I’ve tried from these guys. Very nice.

12 oz bottle from ucusty - thanks David! Pours crystal clear copper with a big, fizzy beige head - sounded like soda fizzing when I first poured it. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Somewhat spicy, nutty malt nose, some bread and cinnamon. Surprisingly sweet flavor, lots of bread, caramel and some orange. Some spicy notes - allspice? Lively mouthfeel. Very good!

Tasted 11/30/09. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an orange ruby hue. Finger width of cavernous off-white head. Heady aromas of sweet bready malts. Faint earthy spice. Medium bodied with a very sweet malt palate. Yep, definitely sweet! Big berry esters and citrus notes throughout. Nice sipper. Once the sweetness subsides, the hops start to shine. Definite dichotomy. And both really stand up. This really has a pleasant complexity. Bready malts and earthy hops. Good carbonation. Solid brew!
