Courtesy peter, poured a reddish amber, smallish head. Rich figgy apricot marmalade aroma, some spicy hops. Flavor was drier than expected, less fruity, more bready, with hints of cocoa and tobacco. Curious. Full finish. Great as a Christmas beer, odd on a 90 deg Florida afternoon while grilling!

Many thanks to MaltOMeal!
Pours copper with a small white-yellow head. Nose is very sweet malt with orange and slight spice, possibly white pepper. The flavor is a little more complex with sweet oranges, cereal, slight bitters. The palate is a breathtaking rush, full, dry, zesty, and decently long. These alone cut the sweetness to a palatable size. Decent beer.

Bottle (Christmas in July) from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a deep hazy copper with thick odd-what head. Aroma has a nice spicy hop presence. Flavor is sweet caramel malt with spicy hops with nice bitter. Palate is full body, high carbonation. Overall, a very tastywell balanced strong ale.

Just picked up a sixer from the Christmas in July release. Pours a light head - about 1/2 finger. Smell is subtle - spicy , some clean hops. Taste. nice and slippery in the mouth. I can taste the spice (nutmeg?). Wonderful moutfeel. just the right amount of carbonation. Drinkability. This beer is dangerous. Extremely easy drinking for an 8% abv. Quite an interesting beer to drink in the summertime -- when it’s 105 outside. A nice break from the hop monsters that I usually crave in the summer. Serving type: bottle

Showed up on shelf in July 08. Pours dark copper with a clear presence and a small head that hardly lasts the first 2 sips. Smells like strong malt and alcohol, with some noble hops, perhaps. Flavor has a little spice kick, and is other wise heavily malty with a little caramel flavor. Palate is full and a bit heavy or thick but not overly so. Finish is like light syrup and malty.

Amber, jolly , delicious and refreshing as hell in July. Kudos boys, Christmas in July has struck again. I thought the blend of caramel, malt, and even a bit of cinnamon were great.
