4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Happy Saint Arnoldus Day!!! Bottle via Hopscotch: Mostly clean deep amber hue with a fading small head and not any lace to speak of... but damn the visuals for the brew has complex rich dark fruits, candied and fleshy with plenty of toffee and earthiness too. This is now rounding into form methinks, picking up some minty oxidation and marzipan. The 11% ABV is now well distributed, dangerously drinkable. Nom Nom

12 oz. bottle shared by Phatdog1, thanks Craig. Lightly hazy brown color with no head at all. Aroma is candy in a glass. Caramel covered plums, deep earthy malts, and hints of lighter, citrus fruits. Nice!
Flavor is in the line of the aroma, Fuller body with a thick syrupy texture. Starts with plum nuance and follows with raisin, brown sugar or perhaps molasses in a earthy malt base. Light salted caramel and a touch of boozed that is only lightly noticeable in the finish. Mild warming sensation after the sip, nice sipper six ounces was just enough.

Bottle @ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours brown small white head. Nose of caramel and soft summer fruits. Taste wise its almost Belgium style, i dont know if fennel is in the beer and i like it but there was a very almost off putting taste of fennel, nice but odd.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Malty chocolate and dark fruits dominate the flavor and aroma of this English Barley Wine. It also has its fair share of vanilla, caramel, and booze. While #10 doesn’t represent the utmost of complexity in barley wines, it’s hard to care when you have smoothness and flavors as good as this. Maybe not "Divine" but damned close enough for me.

A- Roses, caramel, dark fruits, soy, alcohol, malty.
A- Amber brown color, dark liquid, beige head.
T- Caramel, molasses, malty, dried fruits, cherry, alcohol.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, strong finish.
O- A solid barley wine. Definitely benefits with a couple years of age. I imagine some barrel aging in bourbon barrels would really make this good. It’s strong but not overly so, and the fruitiness really smooths things out.

12oz bottle thanks to Zinister. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas are sweet malt and chocolate. Upfront flavor of dark chocolate, coffee, and dried fruit with bready notes. Finishes with chocolate, licorice, nutty notes, and a lingering hop bite. Very complex flavors. Creamy, but peppery mouthfeel. Big and boozy. This is a delicious beer.
