4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 bbcd (110) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 17, 2013
clear amber, sticky off-white head with moderate retention and a bit of lacing. pineapple, apricot, spruce, distinct mango, caramelized sugar, alcohol, biscuit. very bitter, medium sweet, well balanced. medium-full body, creamy feel, tingly carb, lingering bitter finish. easily one of the better consistently available double ipas ive had.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 AZBennett (112) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Pours dark golden hue with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aromas are big pine and resin hops with just a dash of citrus and some caramel. Flavors are bitter pine and resin, hints of citrus around the edges, soft caramel and a touch of flowers. Palate is a little flat I expected more carbonation from this beer and it just didn’t allow the beer to really hit all the right spots on my palate. Overall this is a solid above average DIPA. It’s not going to compete against the tops in this category but it will beat a lot of the other DIPAs out there.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Theydon_Bois (3401) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUN 1, 2013
Tap at the Flying Saucer, Houston, 21/05/13. Listed as ’Saint Arnold - Endeavour’.
Clear dark amber with a thin off white head.
Nose is caramel malt forward, hops, pine, bitter grapefruit.
Taste comprises mineral notes, hops, decent level of pine bite, sugars, light booze, bitter grapefruit, orange pith.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly warming in the finish with hop bitterness.
Decent enough but not top draw. The booze came through a little too much in the finish for 8.9%.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (8335) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 30, 2013
An amber DIPA with a thin creamy mocha head. In aroma, classic mix of floral and piney hops over biscuit malt, resinous and nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with treacle, floral piney hops, warming alcohol, very nice. On tap at brewery, May 18 2013.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 terrwils (7) - Union, New Jersey, USA - MAY 21, 2013 does not count
Pleasantly surprised with this IPA, as I'm not a huge St. Arnold's fan. Great aroma with hops and fruit -- citrus mostly. It's strong. 8.9% abv. and quite hoppy, but delicious and a thick taste on the tongue unlike most IPAs I've had (feels creamy, but doesn't look it). Deep amber color. Nice light cream head.
Really delicious and a great value for <$5 for a 22oz bottle.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained off white head, with some lacing, over a slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 7) body......nose is resin, pine, grapefruit, toffee/caramel.....taste is medium toffee/caramel sweetness, balanced by pine, resin, citrus peel, finishing with moderate bitterness.......mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, alcohol hidden, carbonation low, slightly acidic. This is a very typicial I/DIPA. It is slightly sweeter than many, but has all the clean refreshing qualities, combined with appropriate complexity in both the malt and hop backbones. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

Bomber from Central Market in Houston. Copper pour with slight off-white head. Aroma is biscuity sweet malts, grapefruit, pine. Tastes are the same with floral. Nice clean and crisp. Thin to medium palate. Biscuit and pine in the aftertaste.
