COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The color is deep amber with a light, creamy head. The nose starts off with a touch of citrus but then turns decidedly into peaches. The taste starts off with creamy malt resulting from the pale 2 row and caramel malts and Saint Arnold yeast. The hop bitter starts low then builds to a crescendo, but always maintains a balance even in its big finish. The hop flavor continues to be peaches, an interesting manifestation of the Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops. This is the first Divine Reserve that we have filtered. This decision was made to make the hop flavors brighter, plus it would have been a bottling nightmare with all the hop bits in it. This beer is best enjoyed at 45° or even a little warmer. Though the recipe and style indicate this beer to be enjoyed fresh, we expect this beer to develop interestingly over the years.

bottle thanks to BgThang. Pours amber with a medium white head. Aroma is boozy with lots of citrus and dank hops. Flavor is big and boozy as well with lots of hop character but the bitterness seems very light and lacking.

Bottle… Mostly clear, dirty orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. The nose is a tropical and citrus fruit medley – pineapple, mango and grapefruit are front-and-center here. Full-bodied with a thin mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. Caramel and toffee malts are rich and flavorful, but they take a back seat to a bounty of fruity, juicy, bitter hops. Finishes grapefruity, bitter, and then dry. Bottle courtesy of BgThang!

Thanks to markwise for the share. Pours orange with smells of caramel, and citrus. Flavor is similar that stayed on the palate for a while, it was really good.

Botte courtesy of ericandersnavy. Pours copper/gold with a nice white head. Smells of chewy citrus, floral, sage, spicy. Tastes of resiny hops, floral, peppery, spicy, perfumy with a bitter finish. Nice usage of hops in this one.

Thanks to AttitudeBrew for this one in trade. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Nose is some caramel, orange, citrus, apricot flesh, and some orange peel. Flavor is similar with lots of lovable citrus qualities: apricots, peaches, some honey, a bit of booze, and hints of sweetness. Medium-bodied and very nice.

Clear amber color/ ivory head. Grass, pine, light pit fruit, mild soap aromas. medium bodied. Pine, grapefruit hop flavors with a caramel, pit fruit sweetness to balance--good

Bottle thanks to Caleb! Nice dark orange amber pour with nice stark white head. Aroma has notes of big citrusy oils with grapefruit and orange, lemon, leading into notes of sweet toffee and slight spice notes. Taste is nice sweet tropical fruit with some peach notes, grapefruit, leading into toffee and bready notes with a nice bitter, oily slightly piny after taste. Nice balanced double IPA, leaning towards the sweet side so reminiscent more of a barley wine. Delicious brew nonetheless.

Bottle as part of the fest. Really enjoyable, easy to drink, a good lawnmower beer. Not sure what else there is to say...

A: The beer pours amber in color with a finger or so of off-white head. S: Very sweet. Lots of caramel and toffee, brown sugar, and some toasted bread as well. Pine and floral hops with a bit of citrus and grass to it, too. Maybe a hint booze. T: Quite sweet on the palate. Caramel, brown sugar, and toffee are the primary flavors. Some citrus hops (grapefruit), with a decent amount of bitterness which helps to subdue a bit of the sweetness. M: Medium to full in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: Far too sweet for what I look for in a double IPA.
