3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear deep orange brew with a small amount of white head. Aroma is very nice with lots of pine, citrus, and some malty sweetness. Flavor is pretty balanced with a nice bitter finish - grapefruit, herbs, and a bit of peach. Is this yearís DR worthy of all the hype? Probably not. Itís still a very tasty and drinkable DIPA and considerably better than Saint Arnoldís regular brews.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
On tap at Front Porch Pub. Pours a clear orange amber with a small creamy white head that leaves good sticky lacing. The aroma is a piney hop with citrus and floral. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop with fruit, mostly peach with a nice lingering bitter finish. Hides the alcohol well making it very easy to drink. Really enjoyed this IIPA from Saint Arnold. Hope they make this a seasonal.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Had to use a bottle opener on this twist-off bottle, as it seems some beer either didnít get cleaned before the cap was applied. Or, more plausible, some beer leaked out while in transit. Seriously, people switched back to pry-off bottles because of the íleak-abilityí of twist-offs. Twist-off? For real? Pours a deep amber. No head, just bubbles along the edge of the glass. No lacing. Smells like a beautiful bouquet of hops. There is a bit of a cardboard aroma, but just slightly so. No real malt aroma mixed in the hops and citrus stuffed in a shoe-box. Slight vegetal taste with the minimal hop taste. I thought this would be a bit more hoppy than it is in the mouth. Alcohol taste. Alcohol heat, but minimal. Thin, under-carbonated beer that leaves a bitterness in the mouth that is more tannin than hops. A funky chalky feeling left in the mouth. Not that good of a beer. A bit lackluster, no a lot lackluster for a IIPA. Not enough hop taste, too many off aromas, watered-down mouthfeel mixed with an over-extracted tannin pucker .
There is no way I would age this beer with the twist-off caps. Not good advice to even attempt to do so. Though I suppose no oxygen would get in if they are all super glued like this one was. And it definitely would not affect the carbonation level that wasnít even present.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from LeopoldStoch. Pours a clear, golden brown color with white head. The aroma has pine and citrus notes as well as a hint of caramel. The taste has a malt sweetness to it and then hits you with a piney, floral hop flavor. It isnít as crisp on the finish as a west coast IPA. There is a lingering bitterness with it that is different but not necessarily bad, kind of reminds me of dandelions. Better then Divine Reserve I have had in the past but not something I would seek out.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by CLevar. Clear golden brown pour, a little carbonation and an aroma of sweet piney hops. Flavor is a very sweet syrupy honey/hops and lingering hops. Decent beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Hopper, thanks a bunch for rushing these to me! Shared with some of the MN RBers at Gregs. A very slightly hazy light copper orange pour, with a fingers worth of head that fades to picture perfect lacing. Aroma is all about hops: pine resin, a bit of citrus, ripe fruit like apricots and mango. A touch of sweet malt. Taste is much the same, but the sweetness really pushes the hops to the back seat here. Tongue coating pine resins, some citrus, toffee, caramel. A fairly sweet and sticky finish, mouthcoating. Not a bad beer at all. Just a touch sweet for my tastes.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle thanks to my RB buddies Dave and Kevin. Drank at the hotel near IAH airport and great to have a hometown beer for rating #900. Pours bright hazy gold with a nice thick white head. Aroma is very piney and resiny, with some hints of sweetness. Taste is a tad sweet on tongue, but with huge piney notes of hops. Mouth puckering bitterness on the end and no noticeable hints of malts. This is true hop bomb. This is one of the most bitter IIPA/IPAís Iíve ever had, which makes more than difficult to drink more than one at a sitting. Enjoyable and certainly a good addition to the DR series-however I still think #5 is the best of this series.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Ecrassipes.
Pours deep, crystal clear amber with a big thick beige head that recedes slowly and leaves excellent lacing.
The aroma is excellent on this one with tons of juicy citrus, especially grapefruit and pineapple. There is also some resinous pine and caramel malts but the citrus is the star in the nose.
The taste is fantastic as well. Lots of citrus fruits with pineapples and mango coming to mind but the floral pine is stronger in the taste than in the nose. The finish is bitter with a bit of alcohol heat.
The mouthfeel is well-carbonated but maybe a tad thin for a DIPA. Thatís probably the biggest drawback to this beer. I little more body and this could be an outstanding beer.
Still, this is one great beer and the best thing Iíve had from SA since Divine Reserve 6.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear, deep golden in color, nice white head. You can smell the peaches, hops, and fruits, nice smelling ipa. The taste is hops, definite fruits, hops, some alcohol, and good.
