The color is deep amber with a light, creamy head. The nose starts off with a touch of citrus but then turns decidedly into peaches. The taste starts off with creamy malt resulting from the pale 2 row and caramel malts and Saint Arnold yeast. The hop bitter starts low then builds to a crescendo, but always maintains a balance even in its big finish. The hop flavor continues to be peaches, an interesting manifestation of the Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops. This is the first Divine Reserve that we have filtered. This decision was made to make the hop flavors brighter, plus it would have been a bottling nightmare with all the hop bits in it. This beer is best enjoyed at 45° or even a little warmer. Though the recipe and style indicate this beer to be enjoyed fresh, we expect this beer to develop interestingly over the years.

Amber orange sunset pour with moderate and fleeting head. Aroma is of hops and melon...a bit sweet. Bitter with hops, the finish lingers and becomes more bitter with time, like an ex that you've done wrong whose emotional wounds refuse to heal. I might not miss this beer when it's gone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma not as hoppy as one would expect for an IPA. Appearance is a cloudy, pretty orangish gold. Taste is maltier than usual and not as hoppy as one would expect. A little metallic after taste that makes the pallet score drop a little in my book. Overall, just another typical less than stellar IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful deep amber in color. Aroma is a light fruitiness. Immediate taste is a little too alcoholic. Pleasant carbonation which dissipates quickly. The grapefruit taste fades in after the beer is kept in the palate for a brief moment. Would be much better if the alcohol was better balanced by the flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Bottle from Fratto. Dark and hazy with a thick creamy head. Smells slightly sour with citrus notes. Creamy mouth feel. Not an over powering flavor.

Bottle with Frank, pours murky golden with light head. Aromas and taste of caramel, orange citrus, pine. One of the best hoppy barleywines I have had, sucks its a double ipa. Prefer the citrusy ipas but this was nice for a malty version.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 6/18/13, as Endeavour

Aroma: This one has a nice hoppy nose with grapefruit/citrus, and underlying caramel
Appearance: Pours a clear orange color with a small off-white head and some sticky lace
Flavor: The taste has a nice fruity sweetness, some malty sweetness, and a more bitter finish
Palate: This one is medium bodied, with a soft carbonation, and a sticky, dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this was a really enjoyable beer. It has a good hop flavor, and plenty of sweetness to balance it out. I would happily buy this one again.

clear amber, sticky off-white head with moderate retention and a bit of lacing. pineapple, apricot, spruce, distinct mango, caramelized sugar, alcohol, biscuit. very bitter, medium sweet, well balanced. medium-full body, creamy feel, tingly carb, lingering bitter finish. easily one of the better consistently available double ipas ive had.

Pours dark golden hue with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aromas are big pine and resin hops with just a dash of citrus and some caramel. Flavors are bitter pine and resin, hints of citrus around the edges, soft caramel and a touch of flowers. Palate is a little flat I expected more carbonation from this beer and it just didn’t allow the beer to really hit all the right spots on my palate. Overall this is a solid above average DIPA. It’s not going to compete against the tops in this category but it will beat a lot of the other DIPAs out there.

Tap at the Flying Saucer, Houston, 21/05/13. Listed as ’Saint Arnold - Endeavour’. Clear dark amber with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malt forward, hops, pine, bitter grapefruit. Taste comprises mineral notes, hops, decent level of pine bite, sugars, light booze, bitter grapefruit, orange pith. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly warming in the finish with hop bitterness. Decent enough but not top draw. The booze came through a little too much in the finish for 8.9%.
