COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The color is deep amber with a light, creamy head. The nose starts off with a touch of citrus but then turns decidedly into peaches. The taste starts off with creamy malt resulting from the pale 2 row and caramel malts and Saint Arnold yeast. The hop bitter starts low then builds to a crescendo, but always maintains a balance even in its big finish. The hop flavor continues to be peaches, an interesting manifestation of the Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops. This is the first Divine Reserve that we have filtered. This decision was made to make the hop flavors brighter, plus it would have been a bottling nightmare with all the hop bits in it. This beer is best enjoyed at 45° or even a little warmer. Though the recipe and style indicate this beer to be enjoyed fresh, we expect this beer to develop interestingly over the years.

Above average. This is the original bottling, not the Endeavour version, so this had some age on it. I had this when it first came out and can say it has mellowed but not by much. The aroma is sweeter and has a floral essence. The color is a clear amber with virtually no head. Smooth, almost oily palate. The flavors have blended well but it has become sweeter with the hops bitterness dropping slightly. Alcohol is still present and the carbonation has lessened a little. Still a good brew.

Bomber: ENDEAVOUR IIPA - Copper orange color with 2 fingers of off white , dense, lush foam, which settles after a couple of minutes leaving lace. Aroma is nice and juicy, fruity with orange, honey, and pine. The flavor is a nice balance of acidic and bitter, with nice caramel backbone, it finishes with a touch of aspirin dryness. Medium-full palate, slightly slick, soft mouthfeel adequate carbonation, holds up pretty well with warming. Really nice IIPA.

(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Brown pour with tan head. Grassy, citrus, light pine aromas and flavors, tones still ok for a slightly aged iipa.

Bottled: This is the one I fear, an almost three year old DIPA

Yeah as expected the hop esters are buried and what is left behind is pale grains, sweet breads and developing oxidizing. There is still some fleeting bitterness on the palate but really this is a shell of it likely was and does not have enough malt backbone to become a tasty Barleywine. Worse as it warms some pickle starts to dominate the profile.... if you got this left either man up and take one for the team or dump it in the toilet. This beer did not develop interestingly over the years

Part of an IPA tasting, full pour. Pours muddy orange with decent white creamy head. Lots of spruce/pine up front with some grapefruit, melon, misc. citrus. Taste had a cardboard, overcooked note...hard to explain but it was a bit offputting. Some mellow caramel malt smoothed it out overall. Polaring for the group.

Poured into a glass, this beer has a lovely dark golden color. The flavor to me is more like a strong ale, and the aroma reminds me of raisins. The flavors have faded a bit with age, but very enjoyable.

Sample at First Sunday. Band aid hop profile. Pine like hop aroma. Pours a dark orange, light amber color. Not my favorite hop profile unfortunately.

Bomber to glass. Pours a copper color with thin, quick dissipating head. Aroma is slight tropical fruit, with some pine and hay as well. Malty aromas with toast and caramel. Taste is malty, bitter with peach and pineapple and pine notes. Slight sugar presence. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Not bad overall.

Bottle, 750ml (As Endeavour IPA). An orange beer with a big foamy head. It has a strong floral aroma with some grapefruit. Taste is bitter, very well-balanced, with a lot of hops and some critrics, most noticeable grapefruit. It has low carbonation and some astringency. Very drinkable.

Bottle, 650ml (As Endeavour IPA). Pours clear orange with a creamy, tan head with beautiful lacing. Intense floral aroma, with hints of grapefruit, roasted caramel, licorice, sour apples and pine resin. Medium to full bodied, creamy textured. Rich and complex. Sweet and spicy, with a strong roasted backbone and bitter finish, with the alcohol well masked. A magnificent brew.

DR 11 they are saying is the same as Endeavor, so I’m rating Endeavor IPA. Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Citrus, pine, and grass on the nose; follows onto the palate Finishes dirty though.
