651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained off white head, with some lacing, over a slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 7) body......nose is resin, pine, grapefruit, toffee/caramel.....taste is medium toffee/caramel sweetness, balanced by pine, resin, citrus peel, finishing with moderate bitterness.......mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, alcohol hidden, carbonation low, slightly acidic. This is a very typicial I/DIPA. It is slightly sweeter than many, but has all the clean refreshing qualities, combined with appropriate complexity in both the malt and hop backbones. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 kevinator (321) - The Colony, Texas, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Above average. This is the original bottling, not the Endeavour version, so this had some age on it. I had this when it first came out and can say it has mellowed but not by much. The aroma is sweeter and has a floral essence. The color is a clear amber with virtually no head. Smooth, almost oily palate. The flavors have blended well but it has become sweeter with the hops bitterness dropping slightly. Alcohol is still present and the carbonation has lessened a little. Still a good brew.
