3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle via trade. Poured a muddy apple cider brown with a smaller off white head. Aroma is alk malts, caramel, some sugat sweetness, dough, biscuit, wet nut shells. Palate is nice, medium body with softer carbonation. Flavor of old dough, old bread, raisin skins, nut shells, alcohol, hint of vanilla. Meh.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Murky poured amber hue which zero carbonation nor lace. Good toffee and figgy pudding stuff going on. Lots of dark fruit notes of figs and dates appearing. Still some brash bitterness lingering so this Old Ale needs to rest for a year or three. I wish I had another to cellar till 2015, oh well.

Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, plum, dates, alcohol, light oxidide. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, dried fruit, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a trade extra. I guess this must be pretty old, since itís anniversary ale and itís retired. Pours a light amber with basically no head. Aromas of boozy oak (was this barreled or just oxidation Iím getting?), some apple cider notes. Taste is sweet and rather one dimensional. Sweet apple, booze, caramel. Low carbonation. High residual sugar with low bitterness. Syrupy. Not a good combo. Still, itís decent for what it is. I wouldnít drink it again though.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a copper color, supposed to be clear, but has white sediment like soap at the bottom. Aroma is off, more alcohol than anything on the nose. Weird for an old ale, kinda dirty. They missed the boat on this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another 12 oz. bottle shared by Phatdog1, dude... You are a rock star! Lightly cloudy amber color with a tiny ring of white head in the tulip. Aroma is apricots, sauger and a trace of floral hops. Decent.
Flavor sugary yet real smooth in texture. Light yeast presence in a grainy type body. Notes of apricot and toffee with a blast of sugar in the finish. Alcohol heat or flavor is not present anywhere, ridiculously easy to drink for a 10% after barely two years of cellaring. Again another nice brew from this brewery.
