3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I was excited to have this one since I grew up in Houston but had never had a Saint Arnold beer. This one poured with less than one finger of head. There are some slight floral notes in the nose. The flavors had a little bit of citrus and some pretty good hop bitterness. This one was a little bit too thin feeling however. Overall a pretty decent IPA, maybe a starter IPA.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours an orange gold with a white head. Very smooth with mild hoppy flavor followed up by sweet malts. The bottle claims that this beer is very hoppy, however that is not the case. It is instead the least hoppy IPA that I have had. Still a decent ale.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bad just bad. This is not a good IPA. This is just a mess. A sweet weird mess. Iím so frustrated when these brands say theyíre super hoppy and have intense happiness. This has none itís a sweet weird malty mess of a beer. So bad I had to pour it out. I never waste beer but this was just terrible. I have never been so disappointed with a beer before. The smell alone was nauseating. I donít know what went wrong with this beer but I hated it. Iíll try it again but as of now this is a no go.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a clear orange and amber, white head. Aroma of very mild hops, maybe this one is a bit old. Taste is mix of hops and malt. Not nearly enough for an IPA. Iím guessing this sat for a bit. Will have to try again.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a bottle from a mixed 6 pack, trying some different things...disappointing, really bad aftertaste. Kudos to following the traditional recipe but perhaps its better in India after a long ocean voyage.

Other than the palate, which is a bit of a disappointment, here we have an amber looking IPA with awesome head and lace, nice hoppiness (maybe too much but good for my taste) and notes of sweet malts mainly. Good fruity nose that stays.

Never been disappointed by st arnolds. This one was great in every way. Not too hoppy it was more on the citrus side. Loved it

Tap sample @Camba Tap House, MŁnchen 02/2014, thanks motelpogo. Quite thin rendition of a UK style IPA, heavier on tangerine zest hops than aromatic biscuit malts. Did not pick up on any specific character else, fairly tired mf.
