3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
An orange beer with sediment floating around and a small white head. The aroma is very sweet and dominated by grass. The flavor is also sweet and very hoppy with the hop oils coming thru, the end is dry and very hoppy. Nice IPA. Thanks to Fly for letting me fly home with this from GABF.

Hazy amber color. Medium body structure, not sticky but with a good malt flavor, strong hopping, well aromatic, with oils. The aroma is simpler.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 12oz. It pours a lively, clear dark golden body and a small, lasting off-white head that leaves lacings. It’s a bit malty on the nose, lighty bready and with some caramel, but it’s the hops that plays the leading role. Grapefruit, some pine cones and a grassy hint. It’s almost effervescent on the palate, with a full body, quite dry, but with some residual sweetness. Caramel hints in the flavor, quite bitter and grapefruity. Some grassy notes in the finish which has mostly bitterness and pink grapefruit. A quite nice one, but somehow it weighs in a little bit too light, and is missing some complexity. 130829

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Gbbf 2013. Very hazy dirty gold colour. Feash pink grapefruit hop aroma. Really tasty and just what I want a USA ipa to be. Some sweetness but otherwise pretty damn good. Love the pink grapefruit and bitterness on the finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a clear amber/copper color with a thin white head and sticky lacing.
S: The nose is primarily of orange notes from the hops with some sweet caramel malts.
T: The flavors are sweet and malty with plenty of caramel and bread. The finish is mildly piney and bitter, the only main traces of hops on the flavor.
M: The flavor is medium bodied with a moderate level of tingly carbonation.
D: Not a bad IPA, and one of the better ones from the good ol’ state of Texas.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
