COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A kolsch-style ale. When you need a beer after mowing the lawn, don't drink one of the mass produced beers, reach for this "fancy" lawnmower beer.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2009 Pours a clear gold into the glass with a small white head. Aroma is straw and grains. Flavor is very refreshing with some nice malt (almost pilsner like) flavor with subtle hopping. Really a nice beer

Nothing special here. Refreshing with a somewhat lingering after taste. One was enough for me.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, crispy biscuit malt with light mineral notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a smooth grassy malt with Czech hops, nice and smooth. On tap at brewery, May 18 2013.

Nice, fresh tasting Kolsch style. Not hoppy, has a slightly citrus and herb flavor. Goes down easy, but has more substance than Bud, etc...

A - Pours a hazy pale yellow with a 1 finger white head that diminishes pretty quick. S - Old grass, a dose of grain, lemons, earthy minerals. T - Sweet grain, lemons, minerals, yeasty with bits of fruit esters. A pinch of bitterness on the back of the tongue. Finishes semi-wet. M - Fizzy carbonation, light bodied. A refreshing beer on a hot day. Wouldn’t be my first pick for a lawnmower beer though. Doesn’t quite live up to the style profile. Serving type: bottle 06-24-2011

From bottle. Pours a light gold without much head or lacing. Slightly fizzy. Nose is wheat with a little alcohol. Smooth delivery, but not much flavor. A little thin, but aptly named--would be perfect for working in the yard on a hot afternoon.

Bottle. Taste is very light and easy to drink - not a huge amount of flavor to it, actually. Nose is a little floral and sweet, which I found weird. OK.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of straw, bread, light earthiness and a hint of yeast. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of strae, bread, light earthiness and light yeast with a smooth dry finish.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was musty and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

American breweries seem to have the hardest time brewing Koelschs of any German style. This one doesn’t really stand out from the pack, unless you consider it hanging around at the back of the pack. Sort of stale, certainly sessionable, if it only tasted better. Picked this one up in NOLA in 2013.

On draft at Buffalo Wild Wings in Lubbock, TX. The beer is clear and light golden with a pure white head. The aroma is mild, offering grain, slightly sweet, a hint of fruit. A bit of toast and mild sweetness in the flavor. Pretty bland, but a good chaser for washing down some hot wings.
