Admittedly I’m not a big kolsch fan, but I really couldn’t get into this one. The name is appropriate because the aroma and flavor are both dominated by a grassy tone. Pours a golden yellow with a moderate white head. Light on the tongue with a dry finish. Won’t be making its way into my rotation.

Pours yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. Big yeast aromas with a hint of malt sweetness. I can not detect any hop bouquet. Malt is a bit less sweet on the tongue; significant tannins. Hop bitterness is present but not that assertive. Long, less than pleasing finish. Medium body, somewhat slick.
A good "session" beer with the strengths such a beer requires but with few of the faults such beers so often possess. Overall, a beer that serves its purpose and by no means a bad brew. Good, but not at all great.

Nov 21, 2008 Bottle in Fort Worth. Kolsch? Really? Says who? Seemed more like an American style pils to me. Not bad at all, just not what I expect in a Kolsch.

short 12oz twist-off bottle. golden pour, white head. Aroma of honey lemon tea. Clean malt, floral hops. Flavor is of tortilla chips. Almost overly refreshing. I could kill hundreds of these. A wonderful summer time beverage. Corn chips, fried green plantains, light barley, floral hops. 4,3,5,3,13
